I always liked the freezer burn build. Liandrys and Rylai's with Seraphs, Frozen Heart or Sunfire, Abyssal and Merc treads. With W turned on, they can't get away.

why do you never consider riftmaker? it has the old demonic passive of turning your health into AP. in these tank/ap hybrid builds i feel the item would fit very well.
