This is one of the most badass fights for me in all media. You have a man taking on a being who’s race is vastly superior physically. This is Daredevil fighting an asgardian. The way he does it as well, beautifully presented. The amv is very nicely put together.
Netero was a character that was OP from start to end, no matter what he always defeated whoever he had to even at the cost of his life, he'd take them down with him.
in my opinion netero would have won but with heavy casualites and not so clean like in this fight. Netero went in this fight with the certainty that he could only win or atleast tie it.
He was around 65-75 when Zeno was born, switch was the last days of his prime. Peak at 60ish. Zeno is 65-75 making Netero at least 125+. Began training at 45 on mountain came down 5ish years later. What's more impressive is that the Budda is a emission, conjuration and manipulation technic. Netero being an enhancer means the budda is only 60% of its full potential. You may think it falls under specialist but author states Netero is a Enhancer.
well i mean he is epic BUT there are soo many awesome ld guys in animes haha. for example Whitebeard from One Piece or Makarov Dreyar from Fairy Tail. Or even from One Punch Man. In kinda every good anime there is one bad ass grandpa haha
This fight was not a fight between two individuals. It was a battle for survival and for dominance over the earth, our home. A battle for the top spot in the food chain. This fight was between the ants and humanity itself. And I could not have been prouder to see Netero being the vanguard of our kind. And he was right, even if all those strength comparisons will gladly sing songs of the ants might and state their superiority. Humanities potential was indeed limitless in comparison to the small power of these insects. We defeated their race with a squad of a dozen fighters and one weapon, imagine if the whole species would have ridden out. A massacre. Ants obliterated from the face of the earth with root and stem. And deep down Netero knew that, yet he would give them a fair fight.
Lot of people forget, meruem wasn't trying to kill netero. He was actively trying NOT to kill netero. That does make a huge difference. Prime netero would get stomped still. The king didn't even use any nen techniques. When he took neteros leg, it took a while, but between that and taking his arm was significantly shorter. It isn't a matter of netero being able to overpower him if he had more strength or speed, it was inevitable.
Not that it particularly matters but Netero's golden Buddha technique doesn't match his Nen-type which is enhancer plus he was at least twice as old as the lifespan of an average human in addition to not having an opponent on his level to spar with for decades. So he wasn't nearly at his full potential as a fighter. It probably would have been a much closer fight if just a few circumstances were changed for either of them. Regardless it was an amazing fight which showed both characters were leaps and bounds beyond anyone else in the series up to that point.
@@Cultureghost I'd recommend diving into other Categorys if youre an Enhancer though. Like getting rich by conjuring a Bottle with Pills that enhance Hair-Growth. Get rich, alright, via Conjuration+Enhancement.
Isaac metro created the theory of badass and proved it, no bad ass was ever before him, and all the other badasses after him will never reach his height of awesomeness!!!
Lmao, heres my question... Meruem and ging are both specialists. Ging understands nen so well that he can just simply see someone use an ability and then use it himself (keep in mind, thats not even his "special" ability.) Who would win? The reborn king, or ging?
He was around 65-75 when Zeno was born, which was the last days of his prime. Peak at 60ish. Zeno is 65-75 making Netero at least 125+. Began training at 45 on mountain, came down 5 years later. What's more impressive is that the Budda is a emission, conjuration and manipulation Technic. Netero being an enhancer means the budda is only 60% of its full potential. He does use enhancement to increase his speed to begin the budda attack. You may think it falls under specialist but author states Netero is a Enhancer. We also know that the amount of aura a person has the better their overall defence. Meruem having the most amount of aura seen, Netero second and Youpi third. Prime Netero would have at least double the reaction speed/attack speed and defence/attack power in the fight plus at least double the aura (Zero hand). Meruem states that the pray is the only thing Netero had that greatly out classed him in speed. If all of Netero's abilities are doubled i don't believe Meruems strategy's will prevail before Netero deals a significant blow to Meruem. To argue for Meruem, post rose Netero would lose as Meruem more the doubles his EVERYTHING.
The king had never had an actual good fight, and considering the only 2 things that did legit any perceivable damage to Meruem was zero hand, and the bomb. Firstly the bomb wouldn't be powered up by him being prime so we will act like everything goes the same until then. Meruem was faster but ridiculously weaker, thus why the king could not only land hits that would one shot him had he tried (he purposefully attacked limbs so he wouldn't kill netero) but as stated he was increasing in speed the whole time. What would happen is either Netero would do no damage but be untouchable, and use the zero hand injuring mildly, but not killing Meruem (even if he used it like 5 times which at most we can say is 2 since its his prime) and be so gassed out he can no longer fight back. The best you can hope for is a tie by doing enough damage that the bomb finishes Meruem off. The king probably has much more nen, as well as the fact he didn't need to do anything but jump at netero while he uses his main move. If you still think Meruem would win look up seth the programmers video, it is mostly rigth
Netero's 100-type Guanyin Bodhisattva is op BECAUSE netero is an enhancer type. Netero awakened the ability after his training where he offered 10,000 punches each day in prayer with the end result allowing him to produce 10,000 full power punches in less than an hour. The 100-type Guanyin Bodhisattva was so effective in battle because Netero was abilty to control it's arms to be as fast a his were delivering 3-4 devastating attacks per second and changing between attack forms in a fraction of a second. Giving that same nen ability to someone without Netero's complete mastery over his physical strength would exponentially lower it's batlle potenial. The performance of Netero's ability in his fight with Meruem was most likey hampered by the declining physically condition of Netero, he was probably not even half as fast or strong as he was in his prime just like you said. Unfortunetly neither Netero or Meruem were able to fight each other at their peaks, with Netero suffering from the burden of time and Meruem being practically a newborn with immense stength but little mastery over his power beyond his instinct and innate talent. Imagine a fight between Netero in his prime and Meruem with the same level of nen mastery as prime Netero and an awakened nen ability the fits his battle style as well as Netero's fits him. I think that Mereum would crush Netero (despite the old man being one of my all-time favourite characters), but the battle would be epic.
Just a friendly reminder that those 10,000 punches of gratitude a day were because he thought he had already maxed out his abilities. I can't fathom Prime Netero vs. Merum.
@@thesongbird1679 sadly i dont think thats true since meruem is supposed to be an unbeatable foe i mean all of neteros aura which is what never faded only his physical strenght left him Zero hand is still as strong as prime zero hand just he needs to charge it this time around which he did yet it still didnt kill or even injure meruem really more then scratching the surface meruem never was supposed to be defeated by humans sure prime netero mightve gotten alot more dmg but he still couldnt kill meruem since he didnt even push him to use nen imagine if Meruem tried to actully Fight 100% he didnt even use any hatsu and hes a specialist he can make any bs he wants
Also, the finisher move "You are just a brainless monster, you live only to wreck havoc, I will put an end to you, the trick to killing you is to destroy you, so you wouldn't be able to regenerate" -Vegeta
I fcking love this arc and hate it in same time sense they killed my 2 favorite characters in one arc Killua is my favorite and than Netro and than Meruam than Gon yeap there both before Gon it's my opinion
For everyone wondering Prime Netero, there is no such a thing. There isnt any proof that nen masters get substantially weaker with age, he was probably performing same as he would 40 years ago (his 70s)
@@slevinchannel7589 Netero is a 110 yo man who can punch faster than speed of sound, which is a feat he wasnt able to do at 45. So no, you cant use common sense as an argument. There is literally no proof that Netero got any weaker.
@@yep9817 Theres literally Proof there, mate. Maybe you need to re-watch the Show if you dont know he clearly stated he Got Weaker and the Author also said it seperately. Honey, if you want to be //confidentlyincorrect, at least check the Hashtag first and doubt me second.
@@yep9817 Youre also blatantly wrong about that he couldnt punch faster than the Speed of Sound. He literally showed that in the Dojo in his flashback. As i said: //confidentlyincorrect.
@@slevinchannel7589 If there is anyone that is confidently incorrect that is you, go watch the episode again, he goes to mountain at the age 46, and returns to dojo at the age of 50.
@@juleshand4164 Nen-Fun-Fact: Most Fans dont realize that Conjuration-Nen has a Replacement-Variant, as shown by Tsubone, Ikalgo and Greed Island, but most blatantly in the very last Chapter of the Mangaa yet. A Mechanic that i imagine to be quite popular as it's simple but potent: You give something up to get something new. You could even go to Extremes and conjure yourself into something like a Blade that cant levitate but needs to be used by Someone as a mere Blade, which would sacrifice everything about you temporarily (or even forever), even youre Autonomy, just to gain give youre Comrade Power. It’s basically Transifguration-Magic, the thing that Prof McGonagall teaches. Funny/Epic enough: this is the type that doesnt just allows you to summon Creatures like Werewolves but BECOME ONE. Wow. And of course all this can be used as Self-Cursing, which Conjuration is anyway best-suited for.
