Amy "the black sheep" of the family has always been the reasonable one yet the scapegoat of her extended family. I am glad she feels free to speak up (as she should) and I appreciate it as a victim of SA by my brother as well. My brother was protected and never held accountable while I was blamed and not given the necessary help as my Mother made sure the secrect stayed locked away in my head. I commend Amy because one person can make many victims feel heard, seen, and validated. When I finally was heard and seen it was years later but the person who gave me that gift will always have a special place in my heart and be held in high regard because despite my fear she started my process of recovering when I was unable. Amy is not the black sheep will child the family made her our to be. She is a loving, smart, kind, brave, and all around good friend to all those she touches.

I think it’s different with offenders who are children. Maybe he could have improved if his parents didn’t cover up what he did to his sisters, then “reported” the crime to another pedo who was a cop, & only sending him to go help build a house. Maybe if he was sent to an intensive inpatient program for therapy and was criminally charged, maybe he wouldn’t be where he is today.
Love how Amy is not afraid to speak up for all the children , that family is living in La-la land, and through all the letters that they wrote over and over again they talked about finances,, seems that is all they care about, not once did they indicate remorse for the children. He deserves the full sentence but more then likely wont get it. Drug offenders get more prison time then people like him which is rather disturbing .

NOT TO MENTION that Josh and Anna's families who CLAIM to believe in a Heaven and also in a HELL either don't really believe what theyve spent years on television claiming to believe, OR they believe any amount of years in prison is worse than an eternity in Hell. If they REALLY believe what they claimed, they would have spent their time and energy convincing Josh to confess, repent and GET HELP so he could be forgiven and still go to Heaven instead of doing everything they could to help him deny, lie and split Hell wide open. ESPECIALLY those who were in court and SAW the PROOF and EVIDENCE beyond a reasonable doubt (TO A REASONABLE MIND WITH COMMON SENSE THAT ISN"T CHOOSING TO LIVE IN DENIAL). Apparently they don't even believe they THEY THEMSELVES are going to have to answer to God for THEIR actions (or lack thereof) in this case regarding innocent children either. But the day is coming whether they really believe it or not.
You know what else Amy I've been thinking about after seeing you be one of the ONLY Duggar family members to take a PUBLIC VOCAL STAND against what Josh has done to innocent children. All those YEARS I spent watching you guys on television and while your aunt and uncle spit babies as fast as they could roll them out while DECLARING how "Children are a precious gift from God and how they need to be CHERISHED and PROTECTED and everything else they CLAIMED to have such a true loving heart for and displaying this image of such a perfect family, while at the exact same time when talking about as you said "wild crazy cousin Amy" with her bluejeans and immodest arm and inch above your elbow hanging all out, I can't tell you how many times almost ALL of them at one time or another when sitting there all prim and proper for the interview sessions, whenever questioned about you, the answer was almost always We love her "ANYWAY". Time and time again, they all loved you "anyway" as though they loved you in spite of all your immodest, imperfect and sinful ways with all your vulgar front hugging and such. In all these past few weeks, months and years when referring to their son Joshua Duggar I have NEVER heard one of them say We love him "ANYWAY". That would be acknowledging that they love him in spite of his immoral and sinful ways which would be acknowledging that he actually HAS immoral and sinful ways. Talk about the tables turning as you just said?? That makes about as much sense as Jim Bob labeling JILL a the dangerous one in the family while allowing Josh free reign throughout the Duggar compound. Do they truly not even really believe ANYTHING theyve claimed over the years like a Heaven and a Hell and spending ETERNITY burning in fir4e if you do not confess and repent? They CANT really believe THAT and truly love their son and care about his eternity and do the things they are doing!?!?!?!? Please dont be offended, but do you think its possible that with the bizarre way Grandma Duggar died that God could possibly have allowed her to escape witnessing her family in a situation that her heart just could never have taken?? I believe God, the universe, or whatever people believe does work things out for many situations. Who knows if that was the case, but she was only saved from hearing about it on earth. She surely knows now.

You really are in sort of a no win situation. If you're silent, many will view that as a sign that you are condoning his actions. If you speak out, you risk having family members that you love viewing that as a form of betrayal. It's never pleasant being caught in the middle of family drama. You're doing the right thing by being your authentic self and speaking your truth about how you feel about the situation. Nobody should hold that against you. After all, they chose to put their family in the public eye and with that comes the harsh side of fame/notoriety, having the public scrutinize everything that you do and bare the risk of having family secrets that you would rather handle in privacy aired out for the world to see. Not only that, but Josh really brought all this on himself. It didn't help that his parents didn't hold him accountable for his actions very early on and seek the treatment that was his only real hope of having any semblance of a normal life. I get they wanted to "protect" their child but they certainly didn't do him any favors and instead made matters much worse by allowing the girls to be victimized which also impacts their entire life. Of course you can't turn your feeling on/off like a light switch. You were raised with your cousins and I know that you love Josh, but I applaud you for doing what's right by holding him accountable. Hang in there girl!

I praise Amy for coming forward & speaking out the truth! I believe what it comes down to is Jim Bob is all about his image of his family. It makes me upset how much Jim Bob has defended his son and there’s no accountability on their part. All these character letters about him don’t mean anything! Anna seriously needs to wake up here and realize that she has so much support here if she leaves Josh and start her new life! Amy’s literally giving her open arms to contact her.. I just don’t know what is holding Anna? If it’s just a cult by itself and her beliefs to stay faithful? Is she Afraid to be alone? or even a contract by Jim Bob? There’s children involved here!! God will forgive you Anna if you leave your husband seriously!! I’m just so appalled and so upset that Anna will not come to the surface here. I’m thinking too …Jill has been describing her father as controlling and verbally abusive.. i’m actually wondering if he’s doing the same thing to Anna since she’s living on their property.. Yes you have a marriage & want it to work but sadly, the father of my kids ended up having a sex addiction but It had nothing to do with children obviously.. But I did all I could to make it work.. get him help & therapy.. but I had to realize that it’s not healthy for me or the children to be in a situation like this.. so I ended up leaving 6 years ago. It was the best Decision I ever made! Don’t get me wrong. It took a lot of strength to do it but my family literally pushed me to get out of it.. All I ever wanted was two parents for my children because I never had that as a kid. But it came at a high price.. But Josh’s situation is way more severe and Josh has a serious addiction. In my eyes, Josh hasn’t done anything to show any remorse or show that he wants to change.. The only thing he’s sorry about that he got caught.. overall I’m very grateful for Amy for speaking out and being a good mother ❤️
As a victim of childhood Sexual abuse and assault 12.5 years isn't enough for Joshua. What hurts is that Michelle and Jim Bob knew what he was doing once Joshua came forward I don't think they took it seriously. It sounds like to be that Joshua was the golden child. I am so happy your speaking out Amy. People who hurt children are monsters that need to be put away. My cases from my childhood never made it to court. God gave Joshua grace for not doing the 20+ years even though we all may feel like he deserves life in prison. As for Anna she needs to leave him and take the kids and move away. I pray to God he did nothing to his children they are all so precious in the Lord's eyes and our eyes. Please don't care what others think just leave him because if you don't there is a chance the authorities can come after. Please think of the kids and yourself. I remember as a teenager watching 16 kids and counting. And That this seems to perfect and something will come out eventually. Took time but I was so right.
I’m glad you are speaking out. But you are claiming to be a child advocate, yet you don’t know the extent this went to. What about those children and their moms? How do their moms feel knowing what happened and that those images are still out there and people like Josh are still accessing them? You can’t be blind to the truth and advocate for it at the same time.

One of the videos showed SA of a toddler. The person responsible for that video is also accused of torturing and murdering another child.
