The whole point of this film was to scare people, especially teenage girls, to not ever trust some stranger online. And I think it does a really good job of doing it. Because stuff like this has happened, will happen, and can happen.
No, for those of you continually asking, this isn’t real. Amy(the girl on screen) is played by Amber Perkins, who has made vids and streams about the film making process for this. It drew her in because of how real it was. For those of you just calling it revolting for the sake of shock value, I invite you to hear me out. The director could have shown more direct angles to this scene. It could have been filmed with the actor naked, on screen, showing the motions of the attacker, and making it a morbid flesh-fest. Michael Goi instead put us face to face with the victim, highlighting the torment and eventual and tragic defense most SA victims slip into, which is disassociation. The shifting of the camera from the movement is haunting, the blood takes up the horror once she quits screaming, the horror is showcased in layers in such a simple way. The actress carried the scene with just her expressions. As gut wretching as it is, it's hardly for the sake of morbidity. This happens, it's real, and maybe can get viewers to somehow understand survivors of such attacks if they couldn’t before. If it moved you, it was effective. That was their job with making the movie.
I saw this maybe 5-6 years back but these last scenes in the movie I have NEVER been able to forget. Absolutely one of the most vile things I have ever seen.
It's a scene that, even though I know it's fake and not so well done, touches me because of the expressions of dread on the girl's face and worse that it contains a lot of triggers
Why? It's a movie meant to be a horrific eye opener, depicting the ACTUAL horrors that thousands and thousands of children go through every single DAY. Shit is important. Another movie called "Men behind the sun" depicts some of the japanese war atrocities from ww2. It's a gruesome movie, that really makes you sick to your core, just like this movie. And you think movies like these should be banned because, what, you got offended? Stop being a priviliged brat. movies like these are important to wake people the fuck up that the world is a messed up place, and that we need more resources and awareness to battle the DISGUSTING world of child sextrafficking.
@@jaggergrant_16it was just “true events” of what have happened on all kidnapping cases. This specific case never happened. And even if it did, the director did not have to film a 5 minute grape scene. It’s just upsetting.
@@kristinbeck6659 yes he did. and yes you are supposed feel disturbed. people are acting like rape is no big deal because girls ask for it. so yes. he had to make this whole movie, so people get a glimpse of what actually victims go through.
I second this. Wtf. I'm so glad my fiance said we werent watching this movie when my friend who likes horror movies suggested it. This triggered the fuck out of me. I was looking for clips because I hate being told a movie is too bad for me to watch but I'm hoping this is the worst scene and I traumatized myself for nothing. I can't imagine how bad the rest of the movie is
@@rhiannonmackay9121I haven’t watched the full movie but as far as I’m aware this is in fact the worst scene. Storyline break down is Amry (the girl in this clip) starts searching for her best friend Megan after she disappears. She somehow finds out who did it and gets in contact with him, and he say something about meeting up with her and explaining what happened or something like that, and for some reason she decides not to go to the police with any of this info, or tell anyone else she’s going, so unsurprisingly she also gets kidnapped. There might be other bad scenes leading up to this one, but Megan isn’t in most of the movie so from the break down there’s really no where else for horrible scenes like this to go
For everybody that’s asking is this movie real , no it’s not real but it’s based on true events like the case of Ashley pond and Miranda Gaddis who were kidnapped and killed my the same kidnapper
These kind of things don't mess me up anymore (there's far worse) for a movie it sure catches the eye if you dare to watch. I remember an online friend recommended I watch this one haha 😱
@aijusch6721 I was afraid of dolls growing up. Chucky scared me. If you know goosebump's Slappy. I had a nightmare with him when I was very young & I can tell the whole nightmare from start to finish.
Basically two girls are kidnapped and tortured, her friend, Amy, gets shown her friend, Megan, in the barrel as shown. Thats basically what happened in this scene
