Amy Sedaris appearing on "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" to promote her new book, "Simple Times: Crafts for Poor People." Aired November 20th, 2010.
Hahaha, she's still got the Jerri Blank going strong! Well, not the looks, but the adorableness... well maybe not the adorableness, YOU GET WHERE I'M GOING, SHE'S FUNNY.
See, this is what sometimes annoyed me about Craig. His manic, anarchic style could throw off the guest's natural comedic rhythm. And it's especially frustrating when it's someone as spontaneously entertaining as Amy who doesn't need any imposed premise or stunt to make her segment interesting. Craig's crazy antics worked best with guests who weren't very lively or interesting, such as dumber actors and actresses. End of rant.
KingKook Good call. Their patterns seem remarkably similar. I think? I bet if they met at a party every would edge closer to the mania going on between them.
I'm all for him throwing off the guest's "comedic rhythm". One of the things I don't like about his interviews with other comedians is that they often lack the genuinity of his interviews with non-comedians because both of them are so busy being funny that there's little room for the frankness and non-showbiziness he has with other guests.
