We had the same thing happen to my Grandma. She lived long enough for my father, to move her from NY to NM, to be closer to him. Within a few days of her moving, ny brother and I, got word She was bad, and within a week, passed away. I'm sorry for your loss,Amy, but the bright side is, you got to spend his last moments together and he's in a better place, with your mom.

And I appreciate you being so raw and allowing us as an audience to kinda see what it's like to go through something so heartbreaking but to also see that it is OKAY to get help when help is needed. I applaud you for doing what YOU needed to do for yourself and your family. I loss my husband in January to cancer. I can understand how you feel. I'm still grieving but see a counselor weekly. It's a step by step healing process. I'm so sorry about your dad.

I’m crying as you talk of what you are going through. Like you I lost my mom a while back but on this past Christmas Eve lost my daddy. He was my hero and my very best friend. I was with him when he took his last breath and failed at saving his life while waiting for the emergency people. I’ve sat in my car watching you speak and I know your pain because I feel it to. I laugh until I cry and cry until I laugh. I wander around lost. Please know you aren’t alone and others know how you feel and what you are going through. There’s no limit on grief and it seems the more we love someone the longer the grief and that’s perfectly fine. My daddy’s favorite song for a long time has been Tim McGraw’s Humble and Kind. He’d mention what a good song that was and I can’t help but think of him when I hear it and how much he liked it.

It is unfortunate but there is such a negative stigma around mental and emotional health issues, even temporary ones such as grief, that most people are ashamed to share their need for help. I am praying for you and your family. I know your faith is strong and you will come through this with grace.

I'm so sorry Amy. It's hard to go through the loss of pivotal people in our lives, but being with your family for his homecoming sendoff is something you'll never regret. I lost my 23 year old cousin, who was also my very best friend in December of 2016. My aunt and I stayed with her all night so that her husband, brother, and dad would get some rest (we knew we wouldn't sleep anyway. I had made her a playlist a few years back when she was in the ICU waiting desperately for new lungs to become available. The song that always worked was Bridge Over Troubled Water, we had been playing TobyMac radio on pandora all day... but that night we just kept playing Bridge Over Troubled Water.

I was like that when I lost my husband and my son it's hard I took time off it's really hard I never grieved for my son because then I have to realize he is gone but I'm okay but he has a friend here looks like him and stopped working because of seeing him and bring back memories

Amy I’m sorry for your loss, it’s so hard honestly it’s is …. I also felt that way when I lost mine too … we were far apart and I was at work and my brother had left me a voicemail … as soon as I was on break , I had listened to the voicemail tears started rolling down , I wanted to scream in the parking lot at Arbys in Arkansas. I went back in and told my manager I wanted to go and my district manager would not let me go until I had someone show up to cover me … and no one showed up so I had to work crying my eyes out and couldn’t think straight.my father was in Guam I didn’t have money and couldn’t go back to do his funeral or anything , so up till now I’m grieving still little by little I talk about the memories and the good times we had … I also lost my mother also in 2003 . My father passed away in his sleep at my little bros house and he was so scared too and it was on Memorial Day , I’m so glad you’re back . Please keep your head up he’s always in your heart and the memories you have of your dad will always be with you all (family) . I do know what your going thru. Love you any ❤️🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗🙏
