Amy sets out to get Miss Hopewell after she refuses to take any more bribes from Amy to keep the class quiet. When Amy humiliates her in front of the class she just can’t told it together anymore. She confesses to Rachel that she did accept a bribe and quits her job on the spot.

I always love how Rachel's voice changes from kind and tender talking to Miss Hopewell, immediately to hard as iron when she's dealing with Amy. It really highlights the different sides to her character, and how good the actress playing her is.

I just wanted to hug Helen in this scene... 😔 She was a crap teacher and sort of a psychopath (I mean, who throws themselves down a flight of stairs?) but she didn't deserve that. Amy was such a snake! 🐍😡 Aah, I do miss Waterloo Road. Especially the Rochdale episodes. 💔

For the people who think this is harsh. I will admit it was harsh. But what everyone has to remember is that it's only acting. This was probably on the script for this scene. I expect it in fact I'm more than positive the actors r the kindest and nicest people in real life.

If I was that teacher, I would say go to the principal office immediately or I would call school security and the police department to take her to the principle office, call her parents and suspend from school from 22 days straight. And if she refuses, I will say I will use force to get her to the principle office and make her folks are contacted and inform her folks to take her cellphone.
