Update: I have used my Zacme 5.5 qt to make bread twice now. It has kneaded the softest dough. It did as well as my Bosch and the Nutrimill Artiste, but so much quieter. I set the timer for the kneading and went about washing up the utensils I had used and put them away. It truly is quiet and I just love it. I am trying to talk myself into getting 8.4 qt because I love the style and the size will be great for holiday baking. I do LOVE mixers. No regret on purchasing this mixer. Since it is new, cannot speak to longevity, but will be hopeing for the best.
Hey Amy, I have been searching for a mixer for my mother, and your videos have been absolutely awesome to narrow down the field. It should be less than 16 inches tall to fit beneath cabinets, and I prefer the D/C motor options, just because They have more torque in general. How does this Zacme compare to the metal Vevor and Instant pro mixers in your opinion? I think the biggest advantage for the Instant is the universal hub, but in your tests, both this Zacme and Vevor seemed quieter and mixed dough better, That being said, they may be dead ends with their proprietary hubs lol. I can't find any attachments for either one besides the included ones on the Vevor. The Vevor also says it's 22 inches tall, but it doesn't look any taller than these other tilt heads, and that would make it taller than a KA pro lol. Maybe they measure from the Grinder chute, as it's included? Sorry for the long winded question, I'm just at an impasse.
The reason that one certain company is giving burnished tools (and coated tools that chip), it's because they know the consumer will have no choice but to buy replacement$. $$$$
@@russ5024 Yes, and that's what KA wants ... for people to buy replacements when the burnished ones go dark, or when the coated ones start to chip. They should ship their mixers with stainless steel tools from the start instead of frustrating customers.
My KitchenAid pro just kicked the bucket while I was making bagels. So I’m in the market for a new mixer, and this 5.5qt looks like a great fit for me (though the 7.4qt sure is tempting!). Do you know if the zacme scraper paddle is compatible with the 5.5qt mixer?
After seeing this video, I ordered the gray Zacme 5.5 qt. Got it a couple days ago. Will be making bread this weekend for it's test run. Love how quiet it is and the fact that it will do bread dough without over heating. I had a KitchenAid at one time, that just could not hold up to the bread dough. I am excited to use this one......and boy does it have some heft to it. No way this is going to walk off my island. Thanks for your review and my new mixer.
Hey Amy & Eric, thanks for your thorough demonstration and review on the Zacme 5.5 quart stand mixer. If I was in the market for a stand mixer, I would buy this brand. I’m still using my KitchenAid stand mixer, which does what it needs to do. I just checked Amazon and this model is $189.99 which is very comparable to the KitchenAid Stand mixer. You and Eric are very enjoyable to watch. We can all tell how much you love baking and sharing all your cooking secrets with us. Happy New Year from New York City.
i got my zacme mixer, both attachments fit perfectly, the meat grinder and the vegetable slicer. very happy with my purchase. very well made mixer, high quality materials. 😊. currently waiting for my pasta attachment is coming from china via amazon, 2 o 3 weeks aprox.
Okay, now that's a proper stand mixer. I love how quiet it is, and it seems to have a lot of power. The only thing missing for me is a scraper paddle (and maybe a vertical handle on the bowl). I think this is one of the nicest mixers that you've tested so far.
Stainless steel beaters out of the box that's really cool. I recently did acquire an older all stainless steel whisk fortnite tilthead KitchenAid. I can understand them changing the design of the top piece as I find the narrowness of the old design is a little bit awkward to put on the mixer.
Thank you Amy! I bought a Zacme 7.4 qt after seeing the 8.4 qt demo. I am super impressed with how quiet, powerful and effective the Zacme mixer is. Owned KA bowl lift before that died one day. Kneading was a pain in the KA as I had to constantly scrape the sides and it vibrated a lot. In the Zacme I do not have to do anything but watch the hook gather and knead the dough leaving the walls clean. It’s a fantastic mixer and at a great price👍👍👍
Hi Amy and Eric, thank you for this video, it looks like a great mixer, and I am surprised to see the adjustment on the Whisk to fine tune it to the bowl. I am so happy you called out a certain mixer company for the continued supply of aluminum mixing attachments with most of its line up, If I had to guess it would be for more profit. Best to you both, Brett
@liudmylabalitska8155 I do not remember if Amy mentioned it, the adjustment, I am very familiar with Kenwood mixers and I noticed this set up on this mixer as well. With the Kenwood mixer bowl attachments you can set each of the three tools for a perfect position or height. Look up Kenwood Mixer Adjustment on RU-vid to see about it. I did not notice if all the three tools for this mixer Amy demonstrated are adjustable. Hope this helps, Brett
It sounded a little loud on my computer. How do you compare it with sound to the kitchenaid? I liked it except for the suction cups. At my age it’s a little hard to make them release. I loved the light! Thank you for your time!
I believe they are about the same, just some produce a scratchy sound and others more dull and easy to the ear sound. One channel measured kitchen aid and Bosch universal (which is often said to be quieter) and they were about the same decibels
Let's see what kind of customer support this company has! Let see how long these mixers will last. How easy is it to purchase additional bowls & beaters?
I bought the VivoHome standmixer after Amy reviewed it a while back. It is 800 W! And all metal. And makes two beautiful loaves of whole wheat bread. Many of these "cheaper" mixers are made by Sanlida and are sold under different brand names. I returned a kitchenaid that could not handle bread dough.
Hi Amy - Thanks for sharing. I received the 5.5 quart stand mixer from Amazon today and I couldn't wait to put it to good use. I made a double batch of chocolate chip and pecan cookies. And the cookies taste fantastic 😊. I also purchased a extra mixing bowl. 😊
My Bosch compact is much quieter than the sound I hear on my iPad for this particular mixer just saying. I do Appreciate all of your videos and tutorials that you do!
All mixers have an element that is fussy. The Ank you have to monitor the roller. Planetary you have to scrape. It all requires the skill of the cook no matter what mixer you use.
Thank for the video but I think it would be great if it gets disclosed that the product was given by the manufacturer for free of charge or bought own funds.
Hi Amy. I purchased the 5.5 quart and it arrived today. I just finished unboxing and noticed when it is tilted up you can just push it down without using the lever. It doesn't fall down so I'm not sure if that is an issue or something wrong with the one that I got or not. I read the instruction booklet and it looks like your supposed to use the lever to lower the head as well. I also noticed that at one point you just pushed the head down without using the lever so I'm wondering if that is the way it's supposed to work or if it is just an issue with the one that I purchased.
Was it locked in when the mixer head was up? I would contact them through the ask the seller link on Amazon. If it is not working, I would definitely return it. If it is defective, there shouldn’t be a return shipping cost back to Amazon.
No, it wouldn't lock when it was up so if there was something heavy on the beater/dough hook it wouldn't stay up. I am returning it. I am just wondering if this is a fault with one machine or are all of them like that. @@AmyLearnsToCook
I bought my meat grinder attachment and slicer attachment from a seller from amazon called great mixer. also i am waiting for my pasta attachment from the same seller. i hope the pasta attachment fits.
It looks great. What does it look like under the skin? Is anything serviceable? How long before this company disappears and no parts or support are available? Are we just supposed to write off the purchase price every couple years? These Amazon companies from China are not real companies.
The mixer worked really well. In terms of the interior parts, I am not an expert. This is just an out of the box first look at how this mixer performs. This mixer is brand new on the market, so there is no way for me to know longevity.
