I think deep down Amy was looking for the safety in a man, she felt like a lost girl and only wanted someone to love her and take care of her. Girls/women like Amy do cause trouble which is the root why they want someone safe so they can grew from it.

People in our society find humor in others pain it's a shame and sad. Hard drugs didn't kill her an eating disorder and alcohol did.

A long period of alcohol & drug addiction ultimately killed Amy - as sad as it is she also couldn't accept the help of her family & true friends - I truly believe up to this day if she had kept her true / real friends & family around her on a daily basis she would still be here now , but instead she sadly had alot of temporary / fake friends who were only interested for the £££ ride.

Just like you mention heart damage as a serious internal result, we can't just 'see' this outwardly. Of course people are going to say she looks healthy, because oftentimes eating disorders do not affect physical appearance for many, many years. So, to shame people for simply saying what they see further damages people from openly discussing questions and confusion related to eating disorders. This doesn't help anyone. It is okay if people are confused as to bulimia, it's signs, as that is an opportunity to educate and promote conversation.

You're speaking facts brother. So many people that have had small binges of abusing alcohol always speak as if this type of thing is overstated or wrong and they couldn't be more wrong. Sweats, chills, extreme hot flashes, vomiting, shaking, acute cramps all over, diarrhea, nausea even smelling food, inability to sleep normally for weeks, and even hallucinations the first few days. It's a very nasty thing that shouldn't be taken lightly. It takes a long time to reach that level but it will sneak up on you in a flash.

Yes it spiralled out of control for the both of them, but drugs is a decision you make yourself. she got offered help many times and turned it down. She just had a lot of issues (starting with eating disorders) and didn't know how to handle them... She lived too intensely and loved really passionately. Her emotions took over her, and by the time she tried to take back control, it was too late. It's very sad so many people just realise she made amazing music and had one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard, only when she was already gone...
