ANECDOTE I:
-Has there been any times when you couldn't do a scene because you were laughing?
Patricia: Yes, I remember one scene-- I don't remember the exact word but Fátima had to come in-- It was-- It was-- Imagine. She just had to come in-- I don't remember anymore-- It was a scene where I was with a patient, I don't remember which one, and blah blah blah blah and then Fati had to come in and had to say uh I don't know lÌquido encefaloraquÌdeo or soSo she would come in and 'Maca' [mumbles imitating Fátima's inability to say the line] and I would say 'it's okay, let's do it again' [mumbles again]. And then it just became impossible.
Fátima: Impossible.
Patricia: They were getting serious, everybody saying 'It can be, she can't say it, she just can't'. And I was like 'don't worry' but then she would just say Maca and I would go LOL. And I was like 'i'm sorry, i'm sorry' and I said 'look I'm going to write it down for you' so I put it on my forehead, you know? And I was like 'look here and read it. Read it!'. And not even reading it!! She couldn't-- Remember? [she asks Fátima] It was impossible.
Fátima: It was horrible.
Patricia: I think we couldn't do it.
Fátima: In the end I said it once out of 800 takes--
Patricia: It was impossible.
Fátima: They did a voice over, or something.
Patricia: Never, for the life of her. It was impossible. And of course she would just come through the door and I would burst out laughing.
Fátima: There was this tension--
Patricia: Just like being in school. Just the same. It's kind of the same feeling of not being allowed to laugh, so you just laugh even more.
ANECDOTE II:
Patricia: I'm terrible with technical stuff-- Like just now [referring to her inability to open the presents by herself], I'm a disaster I just act like I know it all, you know. And then-- Right? [she asks Fátima]
Fátima: The one from the first sequence--
Patricia: The first sequence, right.
Fátima: I had to hand her the ambu bag, which you have to put on the face. And she's all like 'yeah, yeah I know', the nurse shows her how to do it and she's like 'yeah, yeah, the ambu, of course'. So we're walking along with the patient on the gurney, and the patient has the ambu bag on his ear. And we're saying all this complicated words. She gets these complicated words and then she puts the ambu over his ear! And I-- You just laugh.
ANECDOTE III:
-How well do you do with the guts and blood?
Patricia: I love it [Fátima nods]. I was told: 'you'll see it's--', Alicia [Borrachero] would tell me 'you're operating a pig and so and so' but I love it, I get my hand in there [does a scooping motion]. It doesn't disgust me.
Fátima: We've switched from pork to latex, and you miss the pork. Sometimes they would buy the skin and put it in the fridge and it would spend too much time in there sometimes and it smelled and-- Poor Alicia [Borrachero] when she was pregnant, you know you have a more acute sense of smell, she would spray perfume on her mask because being there an hour, two hours with a smelling pork-- It's kind of disgusting. They use latex now, everything has become less human.
Fans: Less dirty.
Patricia [leaning towards Fátima]: I didn't know that.
[Fátima slaps her leg in sympathy and explains they've been using latex for two years now]
