In Russia, Kettlebell swings you. All jokes aside, I broke both my knees just by watching this. I would need a nerf kettlebell to try the two hand version. The single hand looks doable, but gives me the shivers. I'll stick with the club, but I appreciate the video. Thanks, Mark.

I hope this doesn't sound too crazy, but is there a move in which you hold the club behind your back, with the club facing upright, i.e. elbow below the shoulder, kinda like the up-side-down of a pullover? are there benefits to this kind of exercise?

@markwildman I’m looking at this type of weighted rotation for progression in my back recovery. How would you look at volume training progression on this or would you go time under tension?
@MarkWildman
@MarkWildman Месяц назад
If you are doing back recovery it would be the single arm club program

Interesting
@troymatthews9541
@troymatthews9541 Месяц назад
I'm pretty sure you could do that with a 80 lb kettlebell but can you do it with a 80 lb club?
@MarkWildman
@MarkWildman Месяц назад
It’s certainly possible. But the change of grip would be the limiting factor
@troymatthews9541
@troymatthews9541 Месяц назад
@@MarkWildman right on. You should do a video where you do a kettlebell press 4 contralateral and 4 ipsilateral two sets of each for a total of 16 kettlebell presses 8 and 8 contralateral and ipsilateral then switch arms. For 4 to 5 sets on each side 3 SATs on each side being a minimum but you will repeat that as many times as you like with rest. It's a fun way to do a lot of pressing
@troymatthews9541
@troymatthews9541 Месяц назад
@@MarkWildman so you would step contralaterally into for presses then you would step with your back leg so that your ipsilateral loaded for 4 then contra then ipso again and you will switch arms and start the process all over again. Do about how to say three sets on each arm then rest and do that three times really as much times as you want.

@@MarkWildman also I don't know if I should get 106 lb kettlebell or 114 lb kettlebell because I'm still going to get a 123 pounder because I can get it for cheap. Before buying a weight I always crush grip the weights I do have available to see how it feels first. Doing side bent press with 150 lb will be so cool to me so if I end up with 123 lbs I'm going to crush grip my 25 lb with it to see how that feels. The heaviest kettlebell I worked with was probably 80 lb. But that's being able to do all the complex exercises not just the standards and doing two hand any hows where I would take a 24 lb kettlebell and do a one-arm 360 shield cast while pressing 80 lb . On average I use 50 lb and 70 lbs is not too different than 50 lbs to me so I can imagine what 106 lb would do for me but at the same time 114 can't be that much heavier I might just get the 106 and 114 and the 123 . Then I'm going to circle back and get a 70 lb and 80 lb

@@MarkWildman also I have the Hydra and I watch RU-vid videos on how to fill it up completely but I haven't got all the air in it haven't been able to trap the air so it's kind of like flimsy a little bit. It kind of just also makes me want to buy a 70 lb mace or whatever

what's the knee injury risk of this? both risk of twisting and smashing knees? this seems really dangerous and creating the risk of permanent disability...

Thus all the things about it being a heavy club exercise that. An be adapted to kb if you are competent
