Bought mine after an extremely difficult 335i coilover install (strut fluid caked on made a corner's bolts very tough) so excited for it to arrive. I feel like a kid. That footage on the brakes is the proof i need.

Bought one after struggling with rear brake calipers on a Civic, no more 👍 I do maintenance on 4 family cars with this thing it's a breeze. I save this tool for under the car stuff don't want to "waste" it on lug nuts, use an impact wrench on lug nuts if you must but I think doing it manually is more optimal.

I don't have any experience with Milwaukee tools to back anything up, but I have had minor experience with Kobalt hand tools because I bought some for maintenance on my guitars like Kobalt snips which I'm still using to this day like 10 years later. Kobalt is great quality in my experiences. Dunno about the power tools but I'd expect good quality there too.

I had mine modified with detent pin & with better grease by getting ATG's retrofit kit. 1. results more power because head has more contact surfaces to socket. 2. no more grease spitting out like many Kobalt 24v. 3. my daughter & I can remove the socket out easier than the lousy hog ring.
@PoorManMods

nice!

@@PoorManMods By looking over the Kobalt vs Milwaukee (2:26) one sees that Milwaukee has more contact anvil. So this proved that ATG's Detent Anvil gets better torques over friction anvil. Remember when you can't remove the crankshaft bolt out of the Ferrari & Honda with basic impact socket? Then you got the ATG's socket & OMG. That is because the socket has some mass of weight/thickness.

Have you tried the new Ridgid right angle impact wrench? Supposed to complete with this and is slightly smaller and more powerful
@KosmicHRTRacingTeam
@KosmicHRTRacingTeam 3 месяца назад
I’ve seen some tests where the Kobalt wins and others where the Ridgid wins. Kinda interesting. The Ridgid does appear to be smaller
@DayFire725
@DayFire725 2 года назад
Now that you’ve had it a while do you find you grab it or the stubby more often for things like calipers, motor mounts, etc? I have an older full size impact currently and want something smaller for tight spots, not sure if right angle or stubby is the better choice, without getting both (yet) lol. Edit: I forgot to say, thanks a lot for the video also, without vids like this most people wouldn’t give Kobalt a chance, but this shows the truth.
@PoorManMods

The kobalt is so big and bulky, i only grab it when i know or think the stubby wont fit. the stubby is my go-to power tool right now. and thank you!

Hello again PMM Thank you for another Great Video. I have to ask you. Right now I am in Hitachi tools with a drill and impact Wrench. And two 12 volt batteries, which is the point. I contacted Metabo, who doesn't make or sell my batteries. So at some point, I am going to have to buy replacement batteries. Or get out this line. I have no issues with the Hitachi setup other than the batteries. What would you recommend for replacing it. For me weight of the tool is a Major factor. I maybe using this tool for twelve hours day of work. So weight and length of battery time are huge. Again thank you

Deciding on a tool ecosystem is a big and difficult decision. It depends on what you currently do and what you plan on doing for the next few years which will determine the type of tools that you need. If you are looking for a tool ecosystem with a huge variety of tools, like impacts to circular saws, sanders, tire pumps and leaf blowers....Kobalt and Ryobi are the 2 popular choices and my vote is with Kobalt.. If you are just looking for mechanic/construction tools I would say Milwaukee is probably the brand to go with, they are a bit pricey but well worth the money for the most part.

I got the Milwaukee 2564. Happy with it. But it got expensive. Bought the kit. -22. For the 2 extra 2.0 batteries. $299. Then the protective rubber cover $29. Then realized it performed best with a 6.0 battery. So bought an extra 6.0. $89. So $420 invested. 😬
