@CURNAL WARD I'd imagine they were asked to dumb it down a little to try and break the American crowd. I get a feeling the American crowd is still a niche market for the PDC and it wouldn't bode well to see foreign players absolutely rinse the home side. That said I do think some of the American seeds could hold their own in a UK tournament like the Open or PDC Grand Slam.

@CURNAL WARD Maybe not but as you know on the European scene, it can always be down to the night. I mean Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price were the two number ones in PDC ranking (Price fell below Wright on earnings) but in the Premier League of darts they've had some less than amazing nights. It could be down to the night and someone like Gates could really perform and potentially break through on top of Price, Wright, MVG. I mean who even saw Noppert winning the UK open. Can all be down to the performance on the night.

When used to the pressure, both of these players are very good. Better than shown here

@@user-he2ou2ex2f Thanks for that captain obvious. If they don't come over here they'll never. Break through. The UK Open is literally open to anyone. Hence why I said it and the Grand Slam is an easy step up for any would be professional.

Darts is slowly on a rise across the US. They will be broadcasting soft tip on ESPN2 next year. We are a long ways from the UK or EU level in steel tip. I imagine a lot of Americans would love to travel to the UK or even Europe to toss. It’s just a lot further trip than it is from Europe to the UK. I’m hoping to see it happen in the future!

You are not wrong. But the standard here in the states isnt at the same level. They are working hard though! Look at what Alex spellman and Baggish did in a CDC match, both ave'd more than 97 in a race to 6 match. Our pool may be smaller, but our best are slowly getting better!!
