Y'all...this Greece trip would not be complete without a trip to the emergency room lol. Im OK...was in pain for a few days and am lucky I wasnt hurt worse than the pain I had. I'm glad you got your ears taken care of. Swimmers ear can get do much worse very quickly. I think the cost of the doctor coming to you at the hotel making a house call was surprisingly reasonable. I'm loving the views! Thank you for taking us along!❤

I'm so glad you're feeling better now! I used to get swimmers ear frequently when I was a kid and it sucks, especially with wax buildup! Good thing that Taxi didn't drop you off inside the mental hospital! 😹

Hi Daniel, I thought you were going to Italy, but Greece certainly is just as lovely. Had no idea Drunken Elephant was part of Shiseido, I remember the line and it's beautiful packaging, being from Japan, I would expect no less. Sorry you got swimmers ear snorkeling, total bummer, but at least they were able to get you back to the hearing world again. So now you're off to Mykonos, it's a great place especially for the boys,lol, knew someone who used to work around the clock for 6 months so he could spend 6 months every year there, that's how much he loves it. Looks like a wonderful trip, hope you enjoy all of it, have a safe trip home. Thanks for sharing!

Loved seeing Acropolis! Was just there in July and recommend going later in the day to see the parthenon to avoid hour long lines just to get into the entrance😅 & the museum! It was breathtaking (literally though its a hike up marble steps)

Awww. Sorry. I was a swim teamer growing up & had issues with that. My mom tilted my head & put rubbing alcohol drops in & it evaporated the water - got rid of it. Most of the time banging my head w/ ear down usu. worked- lol. Love your videos.

Glad you went to such a beautiful place! Ive had eat issues and an older doctor at Mass. Eye and Ear, yes, Boston born, told me to put drops of alcohol in each eat after swimming or bathing. I swim a lot! So you can get a bottle and a dropper, or do what I do. I get the alcohol swaps diabetics use on their arms before giving themselves shots, the little square ones that you get in packets, about 50-100 a box. I told over one and squeeze the alcohol into my ear. None each ear. Much more portable! I've hear similar about hydrogen peroxide. I've always used the alcohol swabs, so easy! Love Drunk Elephant, it can just be pricey! Have a great rest of your trip! Don't dive into a coral reef or get run over by an Italian driver! ;)

As someone from England we get told to get olive oil from chemist and cotton wool I had this once I slept on the side that hurt and in night water gushed out 😂

150e seems a little bit too much for Europe but then again I think house visits tend to be more expensive overall so it might just be adequate. And also it is Greece, those European countries tend to be more expensive. If you are in Europe, you should always go to hospitals, they are much cheaper! Growing up I had problems with my nose and getting sick pretty often cus I had deviated septum, ended up getting a surgery when I was 17 free btw cus health care for children is free in my country, I'm from Latvia. But ear-nose-throat doctors usually cost a couple of euros with a referral from family medicine doctor. Without referral - around 50 if I'm not mistaken.

Not sure if this works, but I was told if you put some alcohol drops in your ear that as it evaporates, it dries up the water. I used to have issues with my ears in water too.

I used to get it a when I was younger and my ENT told me to mix white vinegar and rubbing alcohol in a 50/50 mix. Put in a bottle with a dropper and put a couple of drops in each ear followed with part of a cotton ball every time you get done swimming or taking a shower. It helps dry up any water and it kills bacteria and rebalance the PH in your ears. Since I started doing it I stopped getting swimmer's ear and it decreased the number of ear infections that I would get throughout the year. My sinus cavities and tubes including the ear are malformed probably because I was a preemie born 6 weeks early. So that and my severe allergies can cause me to get swimmers ear and ear infections more often.

I hardly think $150 is steep for a doctor coming to you at your hotel room. Unless you’re very wealthy doctors in the US don’t make house calls and the ones that do charge more than double $150. Glad your ears are better!

You need to get the European E1-11 healthcard (if you have european passport) to pay €60 for the GP. Although you had a call out and if it was a sunday maybe why. But yes you need the European health insurance card to use healthcare in europe

That's the average cost for home visits from doctors in Greece. If he had gone to the doctor's office, it would be 50 to 80euros and free only in a hospital.
