Thomas, Huge Hirschfeld fan here. When i was an early teen, I would cut out his drawings from the NYT on Fridays and Sundays and place them in a scrapbook. I eventually purchased a Hirschfeld lithograph and 2 etchings. But one of the highlights was that i had a chance to meet Mr. Hirschfeld himself at a cocktail party back in the mid-80's.

Al Hirschfeld’s tendency to incorporate the name Nina into his artwork was replicated in the Rhapsody in Blue segment of Fantasia 2000 (1999). In fact, the whole look of that segment was based off of Hirschfeld’s style. He actually served as a consultant to make sure his style was done justice.
