We are a large family with 10 kids ranging in age from 22-8. We homeschool live on a few acres in Central Texas. With our family size, we buy a lot of groceries, so expect several once-a-month grocery hauls at the first of every month. On our farm, we raise great pyrenees, a handful of livestock animals and tend to a small garden. It's an adventure, and still new to us. So join us! Sometimes we succeed, and many times we don't.

I don't comment much these days, because I watch YT from the tv in my bedroom. I haven't figured out commenting that way yet. I just wanted to say how grieving for your lost belongings in a fire is perfectly normal. I was in a home fire in December of 1992. All these years later, and I am still set off by sirens, the smell of smoke, smoke alarms, etc. Also, thank you for sharing some of Everett's birthday! You've got remarkable children.

We adopted a son and we love him very much got him at 5 weeks old yes i felt bad for the family gave him but we love him and now we got grandkids which is another joy

I hope Everett had a wonderful day. I love hearing funny little memories of mums and their children I have so many of my own with my children. I do think you can share your memories without giving the personal side to their stories. As you said for you to get the privilege of adopting these wonderful little people there is quite often a sad story behind and that is no one’s business other than theirs, all that matters is that they have grown up in a loving family that loves and appreciates them as individuals 🥰

Such a wonderful video. Thank you for sharing 😊 Happy Birthday to Everett 🎉 I tried raising turkeys once and it wasn’t a success. Great info on the difference between the turkeys that need to be processed and the ones that can live a long time 👍

We and our friends have to make sure they are enclosed in a coop at night when the predators are out.Chickens and turkeys have to be locked up at night.

Hi brandy @osofarm we have a friend that raises turkeys and he has a high fence and put a top on it so they can still fly up a bit and nothing can get in to the fence to get them maybe that is an option for you hope it helps.

That sounds like it would work. We know taller fencing would help. And having a space with a roof until they get big and can’t escape as easily would help too. We will make these modifications in winter and be ready to order more this spring.

@@OsoFarm yes it’s pretty awesome he was having issues with something getting in there pen he said the top is great
