An Adventure with our Tegu, Ally! 

I had a feeling Ally could swim but I had no idea how GOOD a swimmer she is. She knows how to use that tail and tuck her feet back. She looked so natural, like she was in her element.

My mother has hated reptiles for over 50 years, but when she came behind me and saw this video - she kept watching, and liked Ally! It's a miracle, guys!

I really loved when the kid got to pet Ally- its little experiences like those that make people appreciate and respect reptiles rather than fear/dislike them! ❤

You should put a water feature in her enclosure at the facility as she enjoyed swimming and the waterfall so much.

Rex and Ally are the two halves of every sibling pair; Rex is the chaotic older sibling (I would know, I fill that role myself) and Ally is the significantly more chill younger sibling who just enjoys being involved

Can you imagine the thrill for a kid to see Emily and Ed with a leash, the anticipation of seeing what is at the other end of the leash!

Great that the police try to enforce rules that don't exist because they don't know what species of animal you have well controlled and on a leash...

She is so adorable. Love her little sploot she did on the trail. She was like I’m done I nap here 😂😂

I love how you can tell Ally is loving this more and more as the day goes on.

That was actually so much fun to watch. Seeing her wanna just take off into the deep water was so cool. She just naturally knew how to swim.

I got shoes for Jake, my medical service dog. He isn’t thrilled about them, but he knows they help him to not get burned on pavement

I used to work at a store that was visited by a guy who owned a blue tongued skink. I remember seeing him with the skink twice, and the little guy had actually remembered me from the first time I met him and came right up to me. always great to see uncommon animals in public!

Thank you, Emily and Ed. I've always adored reptiles of all kinds, specifically snakes! Their evolution always amazed me, I've always wanted one. With the help of your channel I've convinced my parents to allow me to get a ball python, I'll try my very very best to take care of them! I plan to get em in a week or two, I really want to make sure the enclosure is perfect for them! (Only saying them because I'm not sure if I'm gonna get a female or a male, I'm not getting two snakes!)

This was great fun to watch! The music fit really well, there was lots of different scenery, and you got to demonstrate a whole bunch of reptile-care in action! Get em outside for UVB, but don't let em walk on TOO hot of concrete in the summer, what they can eat for lunch, to clean up after their poops in the river (LOL) and to know your local laws so that if anyone, including law enforcement, comes up to you all disapproving, you can have your backside covered! XP

It would be funny if the cops at the beach had mistaken Ally for an aligator or something. People interested in reptiles wouldn’t and they can differentiate between many species „similar” to each other. But some people just have crazy assumptions and the distance might have altered their vision. Lol :P

About 3:23 Tegus like other big lizards tend to poop when you put them on water, it relaxes their rectum, so if you specifically want your tegu to poop you can just give him a bath.
