Pulaski County (founded 1839) spans 330 miles in the New River Valley area of Southwest Virginia and is surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. It is home to Claytor Lake (a 4,472 acre reservoir) and New River Community College. The Town of Pulaski is the county seat, with Dublin being the only other incorporated town. There are numerous unincorporated communities in Pulaski, including Fairlawn, Newbern, Draper, Bellspring, and several others.
