And judging by the large number of tool bags coming around here saying that we're pumping the stock (they clearly didn't even watch the video) it's clear that a whole bunch of people think that's a good idea. Great description vs. AI and Biotech, cutting through the hype etc. and the number of biotechs that don’t have a long enough cash runway. RXRX is a relatively newer player and popularized because of NVDA. In your opinion how does SDGR compare in this race. They definitely have a head start, and I’ve looked at their own pipeline and not just their computational head start with protein structures. The only problem is every earnings report they get knocked down. I’m just looking at your insight since your chart does acknowledge SDGR’s place in the hierarchy of things.\

Joe, really respect ur opinion! But how is generative ai the same as alpha go? Alpha Go became good at Go using deep reinforcement learning.. It basically learns policies. Generative AI learns to mimic human speech and thought.. Deep learning used with Natural Language Processing at scale, no Reinforcement Learning!

Kudos to you and please keep it up! @YSFmemories, the core tech of an LLM is NLP and DL used with human and generated synthetic data (this is what I believe folks are referring to gen ai). RL most certainly not used. Now tipping point, could be critical mass popularity or a technical breakthrough in demonstrating the prowess of a novel approach. Joe was referring to the latter.
Hello Joe, and thank you for all the hard work on these videos. Something that is on my mind: as humans with AI become better/ faster at understanding genes, dna, how the body functions overall, etc thanks to AI, won't we be able to just fix the disease at the genetic level, rather than give a patient drugs to manage the disease? Will "take a pill" be replaced by "get your DNA repaired" ?? Or will you just take a pill to fix your DNA ? Just wondering if "big pharma" will get disrupted by " big gentech".

What you're eluding to here is gene editing on the germline, a very controversial topic that makes people uncomfortable (somewhat understandably). Quarterly yes, but not on an annual basis. Did you watch the video where we talked about that specifically? Even if they were, that's expected because this is an entirely different business model that's milestone based. @@Nanalyze I'm aware of your analyses on Gingko. If you stayed consistent, you should be a seller of Recursion. Without the Nvidia halo, this stock would be at $5 or lower.
And you're probably right about the NVIDIA halo, though you'll notice we spend very little time talking about arbitrary stock prices. That's because we invest in companies, not stocks. And these are two very different companies.
@@Nanalyze How are they different, though? For AI, Recursion has Nvidia, Gingko has Google, which has greater expertise in this area; Gingko's foundry is anecdotally more advanced; and Gingko is far more financially stable. If you believe in AI-optimized drug discovery, Gingko is the better bet. What am I missing?
