what people loved about subspace was the cutscenes and most characters getting their time in the spotlight, not the campaign itself

And also the potential anyone playing it can recognize. That's why the teasers for world of light, which hinted at a similar scope and such, had people pumped. Subspace isn't that great but in the current day everyone could imagine how it could be improved upon.

I hate to say it but I gotta agree with mars on the wave dashing thing. Its' cool but I don't think having a bunch of movement tech necessarily makes a game better to actually play. At least in a game like Rivals it is easy to perform, but smash has always had obtuse controls.

I expect due to algorithm things and the sanctity of being able to play games on your own time with no expectations or backseating, we probably won't get to see any of the Baldur's Gate 3: Marss edition. Variety!Marss fans are weeping. All said, I only hope you and your homies enjoy Baldur's Gate 3! It is an exceptional game, and faithful to the source material where it matters.

What about Wavedashing as a toggle? Like as a Special Smash mode? It’d make people happy and give that thing more ruleset use, maybe more comp-viable settings in there too? Let us customize the game to be more comp friendly or casual friendly in there rather than having to do it arbitrarily

I liked BG3 but it's fairly mid. GotY in a year full of even midder games. Doesn't make sense to get that much sick ducked because you had writing in your game and everyone else didn't.
