With all due respect, that was not good shot placement, and too far to be shooting a bow at an animal, obviously. That animal suffered greatly, needlessly for many hours. That's not responsible hunting.

When Mike hunts it's the most intense, on the edge of your seat videos. Not to mention educational. RU-vid needs to remember that when these types of videos are posted. It's teaching others on what to or not to do.

What model bikes you guys using? You gotta be careful transporting them bows up front like that.. I did it and my sight knocked loose luckily I notice it.. I carry mine on my back now or with a sling

They say Himiway. Not sure model but just looked and are pricey for what you get. I just bought a Wired Freedom. And the wired freedom seems to blow anything away at the 2000k price point. They just came out with a new year model with lots of improvements. Mine is a half year Id say 23 1/2. The bugs work out and good but I wish I waited for the new one with better suspension at same price. So if your looking into ebike I would look at wired freedom on youtube. And older videos same power plant with other weird problems so do search as newest first and see what is fixed and improved but older videos for more real world performance. I cant say nothing bad about Himiway other then seems pricey from the company specs. But if you can unlock power like you can in the rated 780w class 2 wired freedom to give you 2400w at over 38mph maybe even 40mph now... on them like Wired then I would look closer into Himiway.

Between you and Randy Newberg every Fud who quit racing Hondas during the pandemic to be "addicted to the Grey Ghost" can "Not the biggest but I couldn't be happier" #Stoked on heirloom hunt numbers that honestly....belong to those who work for them not to the fud nation cyber scouting for scraps from insta hunters and influencer DBs. Damn I’m glad you found em. But shit that placement was terrible . I just seen another AZ elk hunt where the guy shot a bull on his back and it took off and he never found it. Then shoots another bull the next day hits that one high on the back. At least they found that one. My biggest fear archery hunting is making a bad shot. I get it shit happens.

Freaking awesome video!!!!! Congratulations !!!!I believe i felt every bit of frustration that Ben felt. Ben is the King of calling elk. Ive never hunted elk but spent many years in forest in Arizona. Mainly Payson, Strawberry,Clint Wells and Mormon Lake area. I loved listening to the elk and you were SPOT ON!!! Just a bit eager with a the hard first blow towards the end. Im sure because you were frustrated because i would have been . What area did y'all hunt? Id really like to know where y'all were at.

FYI, the law in Arizona that allows you to drive off road to recover your elk specifies that the elk has to already have been found and tagged. You're not allowed to drive off road to look for an elk that has not been tagged. Thankfully you found the bull quickly but technically you were in violation of the law.

As an old Arizona Elk hunter I will say you did a lot of things right. But one major error was you continuing to bugle when the bull is up close. A mature bull can put you on a postage stamp from many yards away. When he gets within 100 yards +- he is looking for his adversary, it is always best to have your hunting partner behind you 50+ yards to do the calling and pull the bull close. The big bull in this video was not going to expose himself when he damn well knew he should be seeing something. JC🌵.

Way to go fellas backing out like you did must have been hard my hats off to shot I thought it to be 100 yards but 75 was the shot and I was impressed with the placement. It must be awesome to be able to harvest such an animal. Cant wait to see the next video yall stay safe with many more hunts to come. We will be setting on the edge of our sets waiting for the next adventure

Should edit yalls videos and delet your onx location out 🤦😂. And congrats on a great bull. I think its funny how all these hunter bashing people for shooting bad shots and long yards. Shit happens. If you put in the hours days and weeks of shooting 20 to 100+ yards should be more then capable of doing that especially with todays technology.

As an archery hunter this was hard to watch. My wife asked me to turn it off. The sliding ethics of shooting further because the bull was bigger is really disappointing. Obviously well past your effective range on an alert elk. Make better decisions.
@troywatkins289
@troywatkins289 Год назад
You forgot to add the part where you say you’re from Minnesota and can’t shoot past 20. Dudes effective range is probably over 100 but shit happens when you’re hunting. So please go read John 8:7
@NorthernMNWRD
@NorthernMNWRD Год назад
@@troywatkins289 Yeah this Minnesotan moved to a western state years ago. I have taken my share of deer and elk by archery. I think most responsible hunters try to avoid low percentage shots. I used to think antihunters would be the end of our sport but I was wrong. It will be hunters promoting poor ethics and doing whatever it takes for likes and clicks.
@deric999
@deric999 Год назад
I agree. Too far if a shot for a bull that already knew something was up and would jump any the sound. Personally 50 yards is pushing it for a ethical shot with a bow and I won’t even consider 60. Too long of a flight time to let too many things happen. Good job backing out though at least. Right after he shot and started taking off heading to him I was like “No dude!”
@Fishin-mission1
@Fishin-mission1 Год назад
@dericevans999 you obviously haven't watched any bowmar hunting videos. He makes some long shots and they kill. Also seen lunkers drop a animal from farther than 50 yards. Not everyone is pulling 45lbs

I see how that sounds… but he didn’t forget to cut any backstrap off. When we kill an animal no meat is spared or forgotten. He didn’t cut any off to keep at home for us to eat that night, before taking all the meat to the processor earlier in the day.
