I do like the the way you explain as the work progresses and the little lighthearted moments of wandering away from the scene. I might be a few years ahead of you in age, but all the richer (not monetarily I hasten to add) for watching you work and I hope I can put into practice all that I have learned from the episodes. Lovely painting.

Thanks so much for your thoughts here Eric! I am in awe at how you just 'popped' the fox in! Did you make it up out of your head or have some reference? Wonderful detail on the snow and some great ideas for me about difference whites - thanks again! :)

Thank you Teresa, I videod an arctic fox a few years ago, and used my footage as reference for the position of the final fox. Turning him into a red fox.
