Thank you Joyce this was for me my son is 23 and I haven’t seen him in yrs. His on the streets & on drugs. I got the call that he got stabbed and almost died. We my family went to pick him up once he was discharged and he left the hospital b4 we could get to him. I love my son GOD loves him. I pray for healing and that he will accept treatment. This rings so true! My son started drugs at 11, he is now 39 and I am his legal guardian and I put him in a healthcare home which he had been in for 4 years. Now they have decided to kick him out because he relapsed for about the 4th and 5th time and doesn’t want to go to groups etc! He wants out in an apt which I have done for him in the past many times that he tore up due to drugs with his schizophrenia! I’ve been worrying about what kind of place he will go to and how he will handle it! But listening to you has helped me to let go let God! I have to keep reminding myself to do that since it’s easy to slip back into worrying!! Thank you
Addiction and mental health is so heartbreaking.. the helplessness is unbearable.. I completely understand what it is like to love an addict, not until I let go and let God did I feel a peace I can’t describe .. only God knows why things play out the way they do, I don’t question anymore I just trust God.. I am sitting here watching this right now on TV. I'm glad I found it here online. That could be me standing up there saying the same words that she is saying about drug addiction and helping someone. I have talked about this with my daughter about my daughter daughter who is a drug addict. Went through these things where she's on meth and talking about having bugs under her skin. She's homeless most of the time or teeth are all bad and falling out. My heart has been broken so many times in over 30 years. She's 48 years old this all started around 14 years old. Many times I just said I can't do this no more and walked away. Just this morning she left me a message she was on the street again and needed money. I really needed to hear this today thank you
Praying that God will intervene for daughter an she will really accept the help. God take conrol, cover her an make her an example of your grace an mercy. Its already alright. ❤blessings
The Holy Spirit sure does come at the right time doesn't he! God is so good and he will make you hear things that you need to hear even though you didn't know it you know after the fact that God was leading you to it

There is Hope and Love, which can only be found in Jesus. God has a purpose for you now. He sees, knows, and understands the pain from your past. God doesn't see your scars from your past, whether you made mistakes or decisions where made for you. What God sees is your Beauty. He sees you as fearfully and wonderfully made. "Try to be really happy, where you're at, on the way to where you're going." 1.) Ask God for it. 2.) Be content to when and how He gives it to us and enjoy where we are at, while we are waiting for God to do the next thing. 3.) It's not wrong to want things. It wrong to be unhappy if you don't get them. 5.) "God is never holding out on you. Trust me when I tell you, when the time is right and the thing is right, nothing and nobody will keep God from giving you what he wants you to have. Amen" 6.) "Keep towards those things, because God wants us to be happy and wants us to be thankful. Thankful for what we have." These are all great points that I needed to hear today. I grew up codependent, my parents were alcoholics, I made sure I never had an addiction problem, si it skipped me (I partied in my day, but luckily I'm nit an addict), my daughter is going thru rough times now thatvshes moved out, drink, drugs, and stripping......plz pray for her that she finds her way or a purpose. She's meant for greater things, she was my miracle baby, I was infertile for 10 yrs, had cervical cancer for 6 of those, her father was supposed to born sterile according to his mom. She's a miracle from God and meant for so much more, prayers would be appreciated, ty

The different direction you went in, around 21:20, about not letting others destroy your life if they are choosing badly..I needed to hear that. I am sure many people did, but I've been struggling and feeling guilty trying to help my sister get her life back together. I have sacrificed so much and have been stressed for years. I feel like I may have failed her because she is still making the wrong decisions and hurting my life. God has told me other times to just rest in prayer for her, and another time that it is not my fault. She has her own decisions to make. I presented the opportunities that I was able to provide, and I have to remember what she did with that was up to her. I love my sister dearly, I pretty much raised her ( we have a 10-year age gap), but I know God wants me to remain focused on Him and the time has come for her to move out. Thanks for the reassurance that it is not me that has failed her.
I have a parent who has been a habitual bad decision maker my entire childhood and adult life. I have never been able to talk to her and advise her into better decisions. She has always tuned me out, does whatever she wants, makes bad financial and life decisions and calls me when she needs my help or needs money. She only calls when she needs something. This sermon really hits home and answers a lot of what I have been feeling.

THIS was right on time. I was beating myself up about not accomplishing more. I feel like I didn't live up to God's dreams for me! I thought I was happy and full of gratitude where I'm at, but I feel like I'm taking advantage of God's grace.
We do have it all we have jobs we have families we have beds we have food we have it all. What more can we want. We are beyond blessed there’s people out there with not even water count those blessings because we are blessed in the name of Jesus

As a recovering addict, someone's bottom can either kill them or renew them, it is their choice. As an addict in recovery, studying to go into the field, we can only help those who want to help themselves for themselves not for anybody else. Those 'anybodies' cannot blame themselves the their loved one's choices~
