This is absolutely my favorite episode of any coastin through season yet. The fun you all are having radiates out of the TV. Also, I needed the laughs Jenn provided on this Friday workday.
Coaster Studios constantly dropping free tv quality videos in our subscription tab, love getting to come along with you for the adventure and you've definitely moved Hansa Park further up my bucket list. Can't wait for the Heide Park video!
Nessi is a 44 years old schwarzkopf and with the build of the station they did a statement to keep that beaty alive!!! this coaster is awesome and if u imagine its age and how it must have been to see such a coaster in 1980... i am loving it! had an empty day in the park where i could repeat riding over and over again it was awesome!!
I have been watching this series like a hawk for new episodes, you guys have created a masterpiece. And when you announced the trip and told everyone about your plans for sightseeing as well as theme parks, no one could have excepted the level of effort you guys put in to making an enjoyable experience to watch through. I have come to look forward to the travel and sightseeing segment at the end of every episode because you guys make it super fun. Thank you for the series I’m sure many others feel the same as I do.❤
If you ever go back to Hansa Park, choose a week day in September. I did it last month and there were almost no people. 10 minutes for Karnan, a walk on for Novgorod, ... That was amazing. Thanks for all the great videos!
FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO AVOID KÄRNAN SPOILERS: They marked most of the part where they spoil the ride correctly (Watch the video very carefully though. The warnings can come and go really fast) But THERE IS ONE MISTAKE: At 26:35, it says to skip to 26:56 to avoid spoilers. You should actually skip to 28:00 to really avoid it. Great video otherwise. I really enjoyed it!
They also tend to let people be up for a bit since the drop-tower kinda is the only "observation ride" the park has left. The flyer is gone, the Hanse Tower is getting demolished next year after being SBNO for years, THAT'S IT.
Holy guacamole! This was honestly incredible. I mean Hansa park alone is a treat, possibly even a hidden gem compared to how they stack up against the big guns! But then the huge crowd of you guys and all your shenanigans only made that even better and more fun. And then you all top it off with Miniatur Wunderland, the worlds largest model railway too?! This was an absolute treat! Hansa park is just really interesting overall. Heck it originally started life as a Legoland park, the first ever Legoland outside of Denmark, though that venture was short. The park became independent after a few years, and heck, until the opening of Fluch von Novgorod it was just a pretty typical regional theme park The old Nessie station was definitely a remnant of that era. I remember promotional pictures of the place from my childhood back when Nessie and the mine train were the main attractions, with a picture of the mine train intersecting the loop. The park along with Heide park have always had a lot of Danish tourists too so theres that. That actually reminds me, the visit might have been cut a bit short due to the crowds, but if you 2 ever find yourselves back in Denmark, then hitting up Hansa park again might be a good idea. The ferry crossing across the Fehmarn belt to Denmark is just up the highway from Hansa park. And if we go a decade into the future there'll actually be a high speed railway between Copenhagen and Hamburg with a stop outside the park. And Miniatur Wunderland, god that place is just incredible. Never underestimate model railroaders I'll say that much. Germany has a very VERY strong model railway culture, and Miniatur Wunderland is basically the epitome of that. Whole gigantic panoramas and set pieces, whether based on realism, fantasy, or a combination of both, all just as a backdrop for running little 1:87 scale trains through. Its incredible. Similar philosophy to the Minilands at the Legoland parks too, just on a whole other level!
8:12 Oh, it will. I'm hitting mid 30s and it's there now. Pains you never had before, you don't have the same physical stamina (unless you work out a lot) and you get tired/queasy more easily. I mean, one ride on Mr. Freeze at SFOT was enough to put me out of action for 30 minutes hahaha. When I was in my early 20s or a teenager, I could lap rides a dozen times and be golden.
Fun fact: Kärnan is Swedish, the real Kärnan Tower is in Helsingborg, Sweden (edit: the area originally belonged to Denmark). The translation of Kärnan is "the core". The proper pronounciation is like "Share-nun" for English, because the K in Swedish can also be pronounced as a "sh" which is the case here. The "nun" at the end is also literally like in "nun", not like in "nanny". Shoutout to "Coaster Stop" channel from Sweden who taught me the correct pronounciation. edit: And the Danish pronounciation would be more like "Care-nan". But never really "Car-nan" like in this video ;)
@@CoasterGuy719 You're right, interesting to know. It was surrendered to Sweden along with the rest of Skåneland as part of the Treaty of Roskilde in 1658. (Wikipedia)
Kärnan is basically in the core of the city, before a massive elevation drop where you can climb up and down on the famous terrasstrapporna. The tower is still used, and you can walk into there and learn about the tower. The view from the top is great, although it is about 120 feet shorter than the coaster
I was at Hansa and 2 Times at the heide Park this year!! I road my first rollercoaster in the heide Park and had my first launch in the Hansa Park! Colossos, Flug der Dämonen, Dessert Race and Krake are amazing ( I also enjoyed toxic Garden but that one is pretty rough)!
I love that you guys loved it! Hansa Park is my home park, and Kärnan and Novgorod will always be in my heart. The evolution this park is continuously undergoing is just amazing. Greetings from Hamburg!
It’s so sad that Sarah was spoiled about what happens in the tower. Honestly, her reaction to Karnan was my most anticipated moment of this season of coasting through Europe.
The miniature Cincinnati at the museum center is good and has a really cool Coney Island, but those miniatures in Hamburg are just a completelt different level
I was hoping to be the first person from the Czech Republic on your channel but Barbra did a great job of representing. Looks like you all had a great time.
The coolest thing about the Miniatur Wunderland is that they are trying to create a miniature version of Voltron. One that works and does move correctly in that scale. They are using similar technology like the F1 track in monaco that they finished this year.
@@jkcoaster-rz1xk yeah I'm sure it's safer. The one in Orlando didn't even have seatbelts (which is insane) but I don't think I'd ever ride one of their towers
@@matymil This tower also had no seatbelts bevor the incident in orlando. But in germany we tend to not manipulate sensors on free fall towers. So you´re definitely save there
I agree pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza. I’m born and raised in Orlando. I went to New Jersey in 2019 for six flags. ( Sarah El toro is fantastic!) New Jersey has the best pizza and bagels I’ve ever eaten and I haven’t had any better since then. Also great video again guys. Once again and I’ll keep saying it. Coaster studios is the best. Love you guys!
I made a list of some parks you should/could go to for next seasons coastin thu europe. I did this by putting all the coasters you missed at parks you've been to, new rides at parks you've been to, new parks for you that look good and some parks you already enjoyed nearby (and probably a bit of my bias with some of these). Here are my 20 I picked out in a rough order. Linnanmaki, sarkanniemi amusement park?, powerpark, wonder island, drievliet family park, walibi holland, efteling, toverland, walibi belgium, plopsaland de panne, walibi rhone-alps, garda land, mirabilandia, fantasiana, wiener prater, energylandia, legendia?, land of legends, korsan adasi, vialand. Bear in mind that I am expecting all the new for 2025 coasters to be open when you go so maybe if you go and some rides aren't open that would change things. Did I miss anything big?
It's so sad that the Hanse tower is getting demolished. they can't get spares for it anymore at a remotely sensible cost so it can't be fixed, and they won't even keep the cabin around as a "Memorial". The tower was a landmark on the whole Lübeck Bay coast-area, you could see it from a long way out.
Flucht von Novgorods launch seriously looks so good because of how intense and unexpected it is from what I hear. If only that thing had lap bars, it might beat Kärnan.
Such an awesome and positive video, I loved watching that. And I loved to see how you enjoyed hansapark which happens to be very close to where I am from. I already got a season pass for next year...
actually it's best to go on the hottest day of the week because then most people just go to the beach, I was there like 2 weeks after you and the longest we waited was 20 minutes
Hope you've been to the Monaco section in Miniature Wonderland. They have a F1 race there and each race is gonna be different. The code behind this is just insane. They were working on the code for like over 10 years or something.
Sorry it got spoiled, a little sad I would’ve loved to see Sarah’s reaction to it if going in blindly but it’s fine, I mean it’s your ride that was spoiled not mine so I can’t be that mad, did you guys’ still really like Kärnan? It’s super high on my bucket list!
@@CoasterStudios Yeah. Like with anyone saying Denmark it makes sense. During medieval times the city that Kärnan sits in (Helsingborg) was Danish. But in the 1700's after countless wars and several losses, Denmark agreed with Sweden to never go to war against them again with Sweden getting 3 regions handed over to them. Helsingborg today is just across the border from modern day Denmark and Kärnan was basically one of 2 fortificatons across the Öresund Straight for tax collection on ships. The other being Kronborg Castle in Elsinore Denmark, which is actually the castle from Shakespheres Hamlet.
as we said in the video, lines were very long and we wished we had more time to do the smaller activities, but we wanted at least a few rides on karnan.
I saw you in the park. You were really nice and I took some cool photos with you. And the conversation with Sarah was really cool for us because it's our home park. We would also like to see a video of what you think is best for Hansa Park in the next few years. The Best Secret is still running and Hansa Park is changing. I love your videos and wish you all the best for the next few years.🫶🏽
bloody hell that girl with her birjenstocks where senseble shoes. I always where hiking boots bc models of the aboyt 200 to 300 bucks range. Never get wet feet you can ride it on any ride they aren't to hot until after its get wat above a hundred an you sre still fine at zero. and they are flexible enough once you walked a couple of dozen miles to comfy drive with them and i drive a double clatch so lots of movements. And yes its a veyt beatifull park if its not he biggest even in Germany.
Kärnan is very thrilling and forcefull but after a few rides the whole spoiler part gets annyoing in my opinion, especially when you have just eaten and spent like 3 minutes on your back.
@@bryantoliveira2813 Okay, okay, fair hahaha... I'm a ham, pineapple, mushroom, banana pepper guy, (although the maui wowie from Mellow Mushroom is my favorite of all time), so I like as many flavors as possible!
"We in the northeast know pizza." Says someone not from New York! lol I'll give NJ Sarah a pass but whether your from Massachusetts or Germany your pizza sucks!
No I'm not now that u posted it that way I just proud I been on it before you I posted my comment before I saw the video I honestly did not think u were going to make it there that's why I said what it was
