An Easy Peak District Walk With Amazing Hidden Gems

Lathkill Dale in the Peak District National Park is a simple walk with many hidden gems, this included Lathkill Cave, the source of the Lathkill River and Batemans House. Lathkill Cave was in full flow due to the heavy rains, water gushing out from the cave entrance, this is unfortunately the resting place for my now destroyed drone. Batemans House is further down Lathkill Dale but was once a pumping house with access below where you can see the river flowing beneath.

Great footage and sorry about the drone . its a great walk that one i once did it but from the opp direction and drier too which made it much easier . its a stunning walk and on my doorstep funny enough.loved the coffee maker btw looks really cool.All the best Simon ;-)

Thanks Simon, I love brewing coffee this way and even better I'm an environment like this. This is the only way I walked it, I'd imagine the river is really nice further down too.

Nah unfortunately I didn't have the insurance. I got it used and had it for 2 years so didn't bother 🤦‍♂️

I crashed a drone (not mine) into the side of a brick building once. I don’t think I slept at all that night. So shaken up. 🤣 I would’ve stripped down so my shoes and clothes stay dry and gotten in there to get it.

I’ve definitely noticed when I’m filming I take things like that way better. Almost like it’s just a movie and it’s not really happening or something.

Hi Lovely Dale Lathkill & only 2 miles from my home 😊 I’ve only Just come across you on here. New subscriber 😃 I have a similar channel predominantly using drone shots in my videos. Please check it out if you want a look. With regards to the drone, if it was DJI mini, this has a tracking/find my drone tracker on the app. You can see where it is when lost & always holds a ‘last location’ point too. Crash/Lost my drone a few times now & used the feature to recover. I would have waded in there! Did that once with mine in the river dove! 😂 Take care mate Dave

Thanks Dave, I think I was in shock to much at the time to even consider going in for it haha. Gutted about it now as it means spending more money on new equipment 🤦‍♂️
