Sleeping Beauty Castle IS beautiful in its simplicity of being WALT'S dream castle. The building codes for the city of Anaheim in 1954-1955 did not allow for a taller castle. And, thank goodness, the castle remains as it is that Walt wanted.

One major reasons the Fantasyland rides don't offer Genie+ is because of the space issue. There isn't room in the land to add a 2nd entrance for Lightning Lanes/Genie+ and Pirates here in Cali is a pretty fast moving line. Even if the line is all the way out in front of Rivers of America typically a short wait.

Funny because you’re literally the first vloggers from FL to say that WDW Genie+ is better. Probably because they didn’t judge it on what rides were available but rather the efficiency that Disneyland’s Genie+ brings. To me, they both have their pros and cons with Disneyland having the slight edge only because DLR’s LL lines are shorter and faster. Disneyland can absolutely be more crowded than WDW but the crowds at DLR are definitely more chill. I think the larger proportion of locals means that a lot of people are there just to vibe rather than crush all the rides. Which I think adds to the cozy, quaint feeling I always get when I’m at DLR. Also, Luis, you’ve been in LA for 1 day. How do you know you can’t live there? 😂

I've been told that when they drain "it's a small world" for maintenance, they keep a bottle of water to add back in after to preserve the rivers of the world from opening day. So there is a chance that a drop of Walt's water might still be in the mix.

Walt Disney called Disneyland the magic kingdom when he was alive. I assume Roy used it for MK.

You are right. Disneyland is the original Magic Kingdom. It was referred to that back in the days prior to WDW.

I watched the live you guys did and I know you were wondering why they didn't put the people mover back. The original track is still there in Tomorrowland but is too damaged to actually hold the weight of another attraction on it. In order to bring the people mover back they would have to demolish the existing track and rebuild it which would be pretty difficult being that the track runs all throughout the outside of Tomorrowland as well as right through the middle of the land. It would be a construction nightmare. Maybe one day though Disney can figure something out.

After they replaced People Mover with the ill-fated Rocket Rods (1998-2000), they lost their grandfathered status operating under the Americans with Disabilities Act. So if they bring something back, it would require widened pathways and guard rails for evacuations, frequent staircases, ADA ramps, and substantial rebuilds that would impact every showbuilding in the land.

It's too bad you guys couldn't ride Indiana Jones. It's probably my favorite ride at Disneyland, then tower of terror, or I mean Mission Breakout. Yeah, the thing about Disneyland, it's small, but very charming. You get a cozy feeling being in the park.
