People aren't making "anti-Trudea" comments here because he's paying respect to the dead, but rather because of this absurdly emotional reaction from someone who's clearly more of a pop culture figure than an actual politician. This guy is a joke, and Canada is not a serious country.

In theory. Toward the end, Downie was saying Canada should be less proud of the past 150 years than we think we should be because of what happened to Natives.

Sickening, isn't it? Just found out the other day that the student union at Dalhousie University decided not to have any Canada 150 celebrations because doing so is celebrating "colonialism." I doubt they are the only university or college to do that. This whole "indigenous" thing right now isn't much different than people who used to celebrate "the noble savage," except they don't call it that.

Nobody is condemning him for feeling grief for a friend. People are just sick and weary of Justin's crocodile tears which he sends on cue due to his background in drama and acting. They've played a big part of in my life. As a huge music lover, any musicians I was grew up listening to became are part of my family. They all played an important role in my childhood.
