Your children will always look up to the sport their fathers and grandchildren love. I was a stuntman and road raced for a living since before my kids were born and 15 years as they were growing up. I ended up; losing my leg in a helicopter crash while making a movie. After losing my leg I went straight back racing and making movies and TV. If you love doing what you are doing...do it! My kids respect me more for being the person I was born to be and doing what I love, than if I chose to hang it up. Since losing my leg I received a nomination from the academy of motion pictures as a stuntman(Most Spectacular Sequence on Film). I have survived cancer, an amputation and live in chronic pain, but if I quit doing what I was born to do, and my kids knew I had given up, they wouldn't respect me and I wouldn't respect myself. James, be the man you are. Let age tell you when it is time to stop, not a fire. Maybe, be a builder, but be yourself. James, your nerves are raw right now. Heal, then keep living.
Sorry about your loss. I lost my 64 El Camino many years ago so I kinda know what you’re going through. I didn’t have that much in mine, but it was a part of who I was! I will be waiting for your COME BACK,
James even the haters are behind you brother. I hate to see anyone lose anything they love in such a way. My Harley Ironhead me and a friend built was stolen from the shop it was in and can’t be replaced. I know what you’re feeling and it only cost me $3500. My buddy that built it with me committed suicide after Iraq and I can never get that bike back with his hands being on it. It hurts they become more than just items they are like pets are to some people. We love our rides they aren’t just machines they are a part of us. We love you brother and will be here if you need us.

I totally understand. I had a 93 Foxbody Ford Mustang LX that I totaled back in 2011. still miss that car. I'll be praying for y'all! Only thing you can do is brush your shoulders off, keep your head up, and keep going. Maybe down the road you'll build another one. The main thing is that your motor home was saved and that y'all are okay!

I don't know how your feed got on my.page but I love it so far..I never lost 200 grand to a fire but I did lose my zero turn lawn mower back in 13,I didn't have a back up,had just.put a few grand into.it to see it go up in.flames..my head was spinning for days as I didn't know what direction to go.in...One day at a time bro thats all we have....I ended up buying another mower, keeping my customers, head to.the grindstone busting my ass and now i.have 2 mowers 35 accounts n.growing besides my.main job...Don't ever give up bro..your a survivor

We had a child with cancer that acted very much the same way. We lost him in Nov in 2003. Brantlee is a very smart kid and he will let you know how to move forward. They know for some reason, they just know I enjoy seeing you race, and hope to see more of you in the future.
Man I appreciate the emotion! Without it, shows more could have been done (maybe? ). But with your emotion proves to me you truly busted your ass everyday to get what you have. I've lost a major piece of equipment for my business (in an accident where my insurance company said it wasnt covered-human error) which I thought was the end. I said Back to work for someone. But you know it worked itself out. Made me come back better & bigger! One day at a time my man!

I am so sorry for your loss. Remember, RIGHT NOW YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAVE YOUR HEALTH AND ONE ANOTHER. Let that lead the way while you rebuild WITH your grandson. Those are some of the most cherished memories I have of my father to whom I lost when I was 8 1/2 due to a drunk driver on New Years Day. I am 44 now, and whenever my car has an issue I don't like to take it to someone, I prefer to work on it myself (because that is where my heart is content and happy). Knowing my father left his imprint on me in such a positive way. Oh yeah. Yes, I was a big daddy's girl, always is the garage with him. I am like a kid in a toy store, when I am 2 places: parts/tools store and a pick and pull ("junk yard"). Say a prayer and give it to God. He knows your heart. I'm praying for you and your family. Thanks for being real, TV sometimes makes you a hard guy to like but your page has always been 100% real and you're just like the rest of us. The fact that you know it's ultimately just a stupid race car, even though it's a part of you, is something only a true car guy/family man can understand. Man I’m so sorry about the trailer fire. I appreciate your love for your family and your relationship with your grandson. You’ve put more into racing than I’ve ever seen anybody else do. You’re definitely someone I respect. My heart is completely broken over this situation. My father-in-law (80 years old) just recently watched his childhood farm house burn to the ground. We processed honey and our wood shop was in the back of that old house. I understand what you mean when saying One Million dollars wont bring it back. Praying things turn around soon. There have been days I wasn’t your biggest fan, but let me say that I feel bad for your loss. I know the attachment you get to your cars. We’ve recently lost our youngest son to Covid and let’s just say my perspectives have changed. I hope you are able to rekindle the fire to build as mother bad ass Reaper, cuz I believe that car was special.

Just like me I had a brother who passed away 3years ago we wanted to build a race car together but we never had the chance to do it in memory of my brother so I know the pain of losing those cars wish u guys well thank u for your racing we watch

About 15 years ago I experienced a trailer fire, to this day I have no clue as to what caused the fire. I own a small helicopter service business and I only have one helicopter and I am the only pilot and I use it for many different purposes including construction and aerial photography and the trailer was used to carry supplies and spare parts for the helicopter. My helicopter is a twin turbine engine helicopter and at that time the engines were coming up to overhaul time and I had a spare pair of freshly overhauled engines in the trailer because I was expecting to have to swap them in the middle of the job I was doing. Along with the engines were every imaginable spare part including gear boxes, main and tail rotors, spare instrumentation and everything else needed to keep the helicopter operational. I never thought about having a fire or just how much money worth of parts were in the trailer and insurance would only cover a 10th of the cost of what was in the trailer. The engines alone were 320k a piece and all together was around a million in parts in the trailer. I did not know what I was going to do eating a loss like that since I was basically a two man operation. With anything relating to aviation there is strict rules for handling and storage of parts and a the company that overhauled my spare engines stepped up to the plate to go through them and get them back into the pre fire condition. The one thing that I learned from the incident was to have fire detection and suppression equipment installed in the trailer, as a pilot I was aware that aircraft had built in fire suppression equipment in the engine area. My trailer has a halon system installed now that is triggered by heat or I can activate it with the push of a button.
