We have an empty homestead and they’re all gone. We’re done homesteading. All we have left is Benjamin and the Koi Fish, which the buyers actually wanted. In this video, the donkeys leave… and this is just a plain sad video. But, that’s the way it is at the moment. It’s sad. Things are sad, but they will be looking up soon. We have given everything we have to this place for the last five years. It is insane to not see any animals when we look out the windows. It’s been an emotional couple months over here… that’s for sure.
I still can’t believe we are moving to the Caribbean! It still doesn’t quite feel like it is actually happening for reals. But it is, we are going through the motions. We leave in less than a month! Here we come USVI!
Hi, if you’re new here, I’m Adrienne and this channel is currently undergoing a huge transformation because, we are too. We are moving to the USVIs from Oregon! I will be sharing our process, settling in, and art. Art is a passion of mine and I want it to be something I make a priority. I hope you join us on this journey by hitting that subscribe button and watching all the videos! I can’t wait to share with you snorkeling, nature journaling, and trying to get settled into a place we’ve never been!

We want to move to Mexico, at least for the winters, initially, after my husband retires. So I totally get this. Man, it is so hard to give up my friends (animals). I am really excited for the new adventure but it is so heartbreaking. I never thought I would give up my animals. i think something that brought me down in the past was the feeling that I was so stuck here. You know, I had the donkeys, and they can live more than 50 years sometimes.n That was so overwhelming. I felt so stuck. But I also felt such responsibility to the animals too. I never wanted to give them up. But I do know that I really need to take care of my mental health. I personally believe in giving people the best quality products and labor that I can do without aggravating my long-term health problems, which admittedly take a lot of money. At the moment, I'm unemployed with only three below minimum wage jobs under my belt and having no diploma, no degree, no GED, etc so now my husband is the primary bread-winner with two-three jobs and yet we still don't make enough to afford buying our own home - yes, we are currently homeless and not by our own choice. We are one of those odd couples who believes in urban self-sufficiency, and, in spite of our genuine distrust of mankind (except God because only God is worthy to trust - we don't even trust ourselves or each other, as God commanded - which works for us, surprisingly), we both do prefer being around people and especially like-minded people like us. So we often are not popular with this world, but then we are not seeking to be. Yet while we live on this earth, we try to live in peace alongside of other people - even if they are our enemies and we try to do the Godly thing and pray for even our enemies to repent and be saved. So with that said, we do not believe in peddling toxic products for profit and we don't believe in degrading ourselves for profit, although to my own shame, I have considered it as a last resort - which I'm blessed to say I didn't end up doing. So now, given the fact that we are homeless, we are like you desperately trying to figure out a way to pay off medical debts and bills with the limited income we have, just to get money so we can then move to save up for our home or, ideally, maybe move to Europe to be around the areas where we de-stress, as we are definitely not people who love to live rurally - we did try it and honestly, even with knowledge in hand, it was a miserable, increasingly stressful, and ultimately detrimental experience. For some people it works, but it honestly doesn't work for everyone who is prepared. So we are blessed to have left it, but now we are homeless trying to figure out how to live as God commands.
