In the mystical mountaintops of southwest China's Shangri-La, we meet one of China's most treasured endangered species, the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey!
Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys are truly special - but because of their low numbers and high-altitude habitat in the remote peaks of Yunnan Province, they're still something of an enigma. During our visit, we meet and follow local forest rangers who have devoted their lives to the monkeys’ welfare, as well as scientists and conservationists who are actively working to raise awareness for the species. We'll hear their stories about these fascinating animals and learn more about ongoing efforts to bring the monkeys' numbers back up.

Megan! You are my new best friend! 😁 Thank you for bringing this wonderful video to RU-vid for us to see! As long as I can remember, (I don't even remember the first time I laid eyes on a Snub Nose monkey, I just know I was a goner in love!), I have adored these beautiful and interesting monkeys. Their soft looking plush fur just looks so cozy! I long to touch one. But I would never if it meant endangering the monkeys further. I'll love and admire them from afar for their greater good. Their sweet, sweet voices... Gosh, can anything be funnier and more precious than a Snub nose monkey's voice? 🥰 That they are endangered pains me, I hope there can be a resolution to their numbers dwindling. It would be a loss of huge proportions if they went extinct, in my opinion. So adorable, so sweet, so loveable! Long live the Snub Nose Monkey! 😍😍🥰🥰

It's good to see that people are realizing just how endangered snubbies are, and are willing to devote their lives to caring for them. China needs more people like Uncle Yu, before it's too late, and these monkeys are gone forever.

This video just popped up on my feed……this has got to be the most excellent video of snubbed nosed monkeys…..thank you for making this documentary……these monkeys are so beautiful! I love how the young folks are so enthralled to learn about them! Uncle Yu is super fantastic and very caring…..hopefully he will train someone to take over his job if he could not do it anymore…..thank you so much for sharing these beautiful animals!

THE TEMPERATURE IN THE WINTER GETS WELL BELOW MINUS ZERO DEGREES. THEY DON'T HAVE NOSES SO THEY WON'T GET FROSTBITE!!!

It's a shame that we have so few stem nose monkeys in the wild all three of them are beautiful and with the display of their teeth makes me think what person would want to mess them over that's a pretty big display of teeth in those canines they are nothing to mess with

They were hunted, and they lost their habitats. They also don't reproduce as rapidly as dogs, or rats. They have one baby every 2-3 years.

First of all i want to say you are so very beautiful with a beautiful hot body!! next Them monkeys are really cool to watch, But the ones i like the most is the golden stub nose Monkey! I can watch them all day long, Smacking there lips as they eat and whis the blue face I could kiss one right on the lips hahaha
