We spent several months on an EPIC adventure through Arizona! We ventured into Grand Canyon National Park to stay at the Phantom Ranch. We hiked to a muddy Havasu Falls. We spent two weeks in Phoenix AZ, then we spent two weeks in Sedona AZ. We explored stayed in Payson AZ to hike the Bob Bear Trail and Four Peaks.
We hiked alongside history in Petrified Forest National Park. We stood above Tucson and drove the Mt. Lemmon Scenic Byway. We ventured to lesser known areas like Chiricahua National Monument and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. We even watched gunslingers in Tombstone AZ.
In Western Arizona we visited Lake Havasu City to see the famous London Bridge, then we ventured to Prescott AZ and Kingman AZ. From there we followed Route 66 to Williams, Arizona and Flagstaff AZ. We hiked Humphreys Peak which is Arizona's highest peak. We explored Northern Arizona's National Monuments like Canyon De Chelly, Walnut Canyon, Montezuma Castle and Vermillion Cliffs National Monument.
We camped in Monument Valley and toured gorgeous slot canyons in Page AZ. We hiked Lee's Ferry and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. This was truly an EPIC adventure through Arizona!

Question? What do you do with your dogs when you hike?
@Sojourn.Expedition
@Sojourn.Expedition 6 месяцев назад
Great question! It depends on the hike. We take them hiking whenever we can, but National Parks and National Monuments don’t allow it. In those situations they stay in the bus (with AC if needed). We also have a monitoring system to keep an eye on things while we are gone. When we went to Havasupai we used the Rover app and found an amazing dog sitter. The price was reasonable too! When we hiked to the Phantom Ranch we used a dog boarding facility at our RV park. We also run them a round and wear them out before we leave.

What is the best month to visit Arizona

For Northern Arizona, I prefer October and November before the snow. For southern Arizona, I’d say January, February and March. You might have to navigate some snow, but at least you don’t have to deal with Arizona’s summer heat.
