An Epic Timeless Low Elo Legend Tale 

I'm actually the Goth player in this game (ELO 633!), I posted a screenshot of the timeline on r/aoe2 and it blew up! A bit of backstory: I had time for a quick game one day while my girlfriend was out of the house doing much sportier things than me playing videogames. Red sped to Imp past me, and around the 20min mark my girlfriend came back and asked me to wrap up things. I went all in with my meagre Feudal army and I couldn't believe what happened. Thanks so much for casting this T90, it was surreal to see one of my replays on RU-vid!

This was the classic 'fast imp into resign' build that you see discussed a lot in the community games.

Low Elo Legend games are so much fun because they are unpredictable. Watching professionals be professional is fun. But there is no comparing the wild and crazy strategies that are employed by individuals in the moment.

As a fellow LEL the result didn't surprise me too much - the first player that attacks wins 90% of games at this Elo since defense and quick decision making isn't a thing.

Just played a game and only made 36 farms, can’t believe I would make such a foolish error.

Red's mistake was abandoning the 37 farm build order to rush elephantos

If Red had 37 Farmers, he would have won easily.

Fear cuts deeper than swords. Red had resources and advanced Tech but massive Feudal army rampaging Red's Town Centre struck such fear in his heart that he couldn't handle the game anymore.

Sarah Kerrigan was clearly talking about blue here when she said "I am the Swarm. Armies will be shattered. Worlds will burn. Now, at last, on this world, vengeance shall be mine. For I am the Queen of Blades." So many swords. So many spears.

Surely red resigned too early there? He has tons of villagers still alive, a castle to defend them. And he's in Imp. I think if he just holds his nerve he still wins there.

To me, the best thing about low elo legends games is seeing the mistakes. It reminds me that we all make mistakes in our games, and so long as we learn from them that's what's important

This feels like when you manage to take out a tank with a swordsman in civ.

We most certainly do not take you for granted, T-90. Thanks for the Christmas upload. I think I can speak for myself and others that spend our Christmas alone when I say, we appreciate it.

Ok I'm 7:30 in. Why is red not placing a farm in that perfect farm shaped hole on the west of his TC!? Killing me. Also, love the AoE community, Reddit is awesome and just learning about discord which seems to have lots of AoE activity on it too! Best game ever. I bought the discs, then found gameranger, then voobly, steam with hd, and now de is just incredible. What a journey. What a great community

The fact that one of the uploads that came before this talked about Feudal pressure is poetic in a way.

The unturnable, loyal goats were lost. So all the map controll was lost, and eco was shaken. Thus, all hopes were lost, and fear was starting to build up. Therefore, as a direct consequence, the battle was lost, and shortly afterwards the war was lost. Moral of the story: protect your goats, they win games.

This game was pure joy, thank you.

Lets be honest, this is how games must be played. Everyone doing the same thing is not fun. This is fun, you never know what you gonna get. Hahaha

I'm less than 2 months into playing AoE2 DE and even I with a very meager knowledge was shocked to see a Feudal civ beat an Imperial one! Interesting backstory as well. Who knows, maybe the one time a GF or wife told a gaming brother, "hurry up and end that game and come help me!" Oh the nerve! LOL. With my luck I'd have gone all in directly into the teeth of the Castle and died on the spot, a puddle where once sat an old guy new to this game. I love AoE2 DE with no plans to play 3 or 4 because 3 is too PC and 4 has graphics that underwhelm me. I have history though of playing another game for 20 years, so when I love a game, I stick with it through thick and thin! Long live AoE2!!!!!

Wow watching red hurts so much, in AoE2 early farms like that is kind of instant loose normally. Blue has balls of steel tho, obviously he did not played rly well but he showed very good decision making in the end of the game, Gosu in shorts style.

It's always funny to me that T90 always assumes people use hotkeys, I've played on and off for a decade and a half and only know houses and farms haha. Let alone knew hotkeys we're even a thing up until a year ago.

Not sure what was supposed to be so good about that haha. Was literally just 20 minutes of inaction then a single attack to end the game.
