( x - h)^2 = 4p ( y - k ) [ for a parabola opening up or down ] ( x - 3 )^2 = 4p ( y + 4 ) (0, 5 ) is on the parabola, therefore : ( - 3 )^2 = 4p ( 5 + 4 ) 9 = 36p p = 1/4 so the parabola is : (x - 3 )^2 = y + 4

Wow I didn’t even know we can do this even tho I’m at my year 10 and just learned this, I thought the only way to get a was to get the root and expand to quad form and get its a from the axsqur+bx+c, Didn’t know we could use the any x,y value to sub in the equation
