I make the 3 hour journey to fish a short 4 hour afternoon session on the Middle River Severn, with a rewarding outcome. #fishing #chub #riverfishing #angling #barbel #cadance #riversevern #sonubaits #haiths #korum #guru
Hi Mark, I'm so pleased you had a result like this after your fortitude of driving so far. We have met on a couple of occasions, in fact I fished in the match you referred to earlier - though I didn't catch fish anything like you managed. I only live a 10 minute walk from the Coalport stretch yet can't always motivate myself, so fair play to you.
Hi Phil, I kept an eye out for you Sunday but must have missed you. I just love that river, and envy you living so close. At least I seem to be lucky when I do get up there. Hopefully catch up with you at some point in the year 👍🏻
Well done Mark on your new pb. I fish the tidal Trent most of the time and I moan driving 55 minutes to my peg. A1 pits area is fishing well if you decide to go again👍
Thanks Stephen. Yes I’m going to give the A1 stretch a go in the near future as it seems to hold a good head of large fish, so hopefully I’ll do a Vlog from there soon
A cracking result I admire your dedication, but as they say you've got to be in it to win it. Well done mate and thanks for taking the time and trouble to upload. 👍🎣🎣🎣. P.S congratulations on the PB
Two cracking fish Mark! Your PB is the same as mine at 11:04 I had mine from my local river Wey in Surrey earlier this season. Looking forward to you next vlog.
Hi Mark I fished Quatford yesterday sadly not a bite very quiet, river low some swims you need mountaineer equipment to get up and down. I recently purchased a Cadence float rod for light float / trotting work for my home river the Wensum Very pleased for the price.
Hi, that’s a shame, that said I’ve got a Vlog going live tonight and I do catch but not chub or barbel 🙄 The float road sounds good. The wensum used to be an awesome river but sadly the otters have killed it.
@@AnAverageAngler fair play, glad you got it sorted in the end. Never really knew who Cadence was until quite recently. They seem nice bits of kit from what I've seen but was a bit worried about their after sales... Glad to know they did the right thing by you an would now definitely consider them as a brand if I'm ever in the market for more rods in the future. Tight lines an keep up with the great content :)
hiya chap, iv just subbed, i fish stourport on severn a lot but such a poor strech for barbel. and where have all the realy big peach gone over the years
There’s meant to be good perch in this stretch, but I’ve not found them yet? I generally have a few casts with a jig rod in likely looking spots when I’m there, but haven’t found them yet 🤷🏼♂️
Hi Mark nice brace. Like phil i also fished the match in question it wasnt a case of people being ignorant its hard to recommend a peg when they have been fished for previous 5 hours 51lb won match but pointless going there because theyve been caught basically. The time you fished is ideal and you will catch from most pegs that time of day when sun is off the water.
Hi Gary, thanks. I didn’t mean to imply anyone was being ignorant, so if that’s how my comment came across apologies. I must say I envy all you local anglers as it’s a an awesome stretch.
@AnAverageAngler Hi Mark no not at all u just hoped you hadn't got that idea. At the end of the day we are all after the same goal a days fishing. I've fished the severn for over 40 years and coalport is the the best stretch because limited availability 350 members and 100's on waiting list. Probably 50 fish matches regularly so without 300 pleasure anglers we wouldn't be able to. Try 18A cast a rod out to bush downstream and strap yourself in. P.s my biggest barbel is 11lb 4 off coalport aswell
@AnAverageAngler hi Mark just saw your latest video nice fish again. Just a couple of points barbel alley as you mentioned is exactly where you fished in 1st peg basically it's peg 73 to 80 its where most head pleasure fishing I avoid as its battery hens at times. The foam is a gift off severn trent water which is overflow from sewage works chemicals mainly fish don't like it carnt blame them. Ever noticed the lack of weed in severn compared to other rivers? There used to be tons of it but hardly any now.
@@GarryMason-p7v thanks Gary, I thought that maybe “barbel alley” but now I know 👍🏻 I used to like 22A but stopped fishing as the stench from the water works was awful and for me the fishing demised.
