Nothing melts my heart more than watching a disney legend singing his own legacy

Alan is the creator of so much happiness and joy... thanks a lot for his talent. I'm 36 yrs old, grew up with this music.

The composer really feels every sound of the music, so that how he speaks with billions of children... Hope he is the happiest person in the world.

This was the most amazing event. It is easy to forget what a genius Alan Menken is because his body of work is so prolific and current. His music marks many of the most important events of my life; graduation, weddings, birth/rebirth/death, this man is a genius. I have cried many a tear listening to his music. He knows more than anyone in the world how to pull a heart string.

What an incredible legend. Watching Alan Menken play his hits just makes me a little sad because I wish other masters of their craft would all survive to old age to be able to showcase their art like Alan is still doing. Think of a man like Kobe Bryant passing away so early, never getting to enjoy decades of love of appreciation. Alan is a gift, and we're blessed that he's still here with us going strong.
