OMG, I'm like the biggest Dr Katz fan (retroactively)---how in the heck did I miss this?

I am an absolute fanatic and always have been. I remember this show in the nineties when I was in my twenties. Laura was amazing. A borderline fantasy. And yet Laura Silverman is even prettier. Wow! I agree that the chemistry between Jon, Laura, and Jonathan is unmatched to this day. How I wish they'd do it again! Even for one season. I'm a big fan and hope they're all doing well. I watch every night. Know every line. It is pure comfort.

This was like watching an episode of Dr. Katz materialize before your eyes. Great stuff. My uncle suffers from MS, so it's really cool for me to see Jonathan Katz performing live and be just as on point as ever.

laura is hilarious. and h. jon benjamin is great at adapting to whoever he works with.

I love it that between the scenes they played that transition music and showed a shot of the outside of the building like in the cartoon.

This is brilliant and very true to the show. I just hoped Ben and Laura would get married someday even if it would be uncharacteristic of the show.

Is this mostly improvised? She's super witty and funny. Ben is actually even more awkward than his character I think.

Ben, by sheer dumb luck, gets his dream girl to agree to marry him, and then he welches on it.

The show was a brilliant concept; interview comics, let them do their stuff. This is probably how they actually recorded the sessions.

I did watch the show, during its initial run, and again when my roommate bought the DVD. It was more tightly paced than this, which is why I wondered if this was improvised.

If it's anything like the cartoon, they probably used a method called "retro scripting" whereby they'll outline a scene with a few lines and then improvise the holes.

Katz.. despite the mason crap which i attribute to the producers.. You are an Absolute LEGEND! Underappreciated & humble as the day is long. My mind was further blown when i saw Rodney on the show. Of course H. John is beyond compare and Silverman is as Sexy live as she was on the animation!@ This was a brilliant idea ..well b4 all the movies had to become live action! TY for Lulling me to sleep every nite!!!

Geez, I have always been annoyed by Laura, but I love her so much! Many of us came up with this show and these characters, so this was really super cool to watch.

I had no idea they did live improv versions of the show! Was this how the show was created originally and the animations were just added later to the bits? Also: is she related to Sarah Silverman? She's way funnier, way hotter and with a much more pleasant voice. (Even the Laura receptionist character is less repugnant as Sarah trying to be funny)

I liked the cartoon Laura more to be honest. Sultry. (Yehhh) chew more gum. Great joke as well. Funny. I like her sense of humour. A bit cruel ok. But still i liked the cartoon Laura more. I dont know about this one. She's allright. Kind of cute. Great show! Keep up the good work!
