Great Job Kester. This is a really unique venture, and you're fast becoming the foremost for Snail Farming and Production. I have never had Snail myself, and have never been into it, but I do enjoy your videos - this being the 4th one I seem. I wish you all the very best Kester, truly, you can only get better and stronger, so be mostly proud of yourself my brother ok, as I am of you. Most High in Chris Father Yahawashi bless you and your home amine.
They will inside the breeding pen but could be damaged by the breeding snails because the shells of the young snails are very fragile and they cannot compete with the breeders for food. They should be removed and incubated separately for better result. Thanks for all your compliment
God bless you brother for the kind job you are doing to help snail farmers and potential snail farmers. Am in Dubai now planning to set up my snail farm back home in Ghana hopefully next year and I must admit your videos have really boosted my confidence even though I had past practical experience. You are a great mentor and I love to meet you someday. Great job and God richly bless you and your team.
1. I have been impressed by a number of your presentations. I have never seen one that stipulates the dimensions of the concrete pen and the recommended stocking density, like how many adult snails per pen of given dimensions. 2. The pens are housed under a roof only; so how is drainage of the pens effected after the rains? Thank you.
Simple video but educative. wondering if some eggs will not be damaged as you use metal instrument to dig. can one use other instruments?. What is the need removing the eggs? cant they be hatched in the parents pen?
Parents can crush their babys and its easier to make them right tempature when they are in fifferend place😊 Sry my english im from finland and still learning🤣
The way you're using the hoe, it's a miracle you don't damage the eggs. You need more care and patient, even when placing them in the plastic. Put some soil in the plastic to cusion the eggs when you drop them inside
You so great with this project. But please be careful in the sorting of their eggs (always dig upward with a fork KNIFE to avoid eggs breakage ,look out for the average depth they laid/buried their egg to know what length of KNIFE required). You're a nation builder.
This eggs you brought out from the soil, how long have they been in the soil? are they up to 15 days already in the soil almost 21days? How many days to incubate them, would it affect them? Thanks
Thank u for this video, I did not know that they lay eggs, I was thinking may be they are very small to be seen, but luckily they are big enough to fry them for eating
Happy new year Kester, hope you and the family are all doing well. Kester, which system is safe and advantageous: is it the caged pen or the green house system.Space is not a problem. Please advise me. Thanks.
Wow! All my life till this moment, I thought those were lizard eggs! P.s. why not get a little garden fork and use it to sift the soil? You will never damage the eggs then.
Snails need to be sprayed with water daily, they need an unlimited supply of cuttlefish bone for calcium and they need a protein source 1-2 Times a week. Pens like that can also easily break their shells.
i am in fla I have a smail garden how do i handle that? They are in an aquarium. They have a plant thay sleep in. I give them tomatoes to eat . for calium i crack egg into tiny pieces. Any any advice would help this is my first time doing this. Thanks. I do spray the plant with water.
Prof AMOS... Thanks for sharing with us this good knowledge. God bless you more. I will surely contact you for more orientation. Please do welcome my call. Thanks.
Kester Amos... Thank you for the insights.. Keep the video coming please.. God bless you man.. Africa is alright. But a quick question, what do we do with the eggs after picking them?
Ayo it depends on the system of production you want to embark on either intensive or semi intensive. But this farm is intensive system and its standing on a plot of land
Hi.. I live in the Philippines and snails are conidered as pests here becuase the feed on rice crops. We kill them with salt.. Your video really surprised me that in other part of the world others are propagating it. Perhaps this is an oppurtunitt for bussiness venture. Where do you sell your harvests? How much is the income?
Hi, lovely video. Please am about to start my snail farming I would Love for you to actually put me through it step by step. I live in Lagos please let me have your contact.
