This may be my favorite episode. Robert Emhardt always played such a great villain. Incredible actor.

Agreed. Robert Emhardt was the perfect villain in The Return of Verge Likens with Peter Fonda and George Lindsey.

Emhardt was often used by Hitch because of his piercing eyes and his large frame. Excellent character actor. Massey, what can I say. Top notch in his hey day.

It is nice to see Father Ralph when he was young. This is one of Rob Earnhardts best episodes the other is the return of Verge Likens. The best Abe Lincoln ever filmed can play vengeance well

Watched the 1980s version on Daily M which matches this. The RH can't get to hospital because of the sons hogging the road. He vears off the road, dying from a heart attack. No evidence of poisning.

There's more, though. If it's the owner's fault he, too must be punished. But if the victim put himself in danger, no one else is punished.

Raymond Massey is the father. He played James Dean's father in East of Eden. The one light headed brother is Richard Chamberlain, later Dr. Kildare.

this isn't the road hog I watched. Alfred hitchcock must have stolen it from somewhere or some one stole it from hitchcock 😁 And one more thing. That road hog didnt know whos in the car behind him. If he knew there was a sick man he must have given way to him. i have not seen the whole episode . correct me if i m wrong

That’s the point, you don’t know so don’t be self-centred. But yeah, you’re wrong… he did know, they yelled out to him that it was an emergency and he replied that it wasn’t his problem.
