I just wanted to let you know you aren't alone in your feelings. I think many of us have gone through similar feelings often. I often struggle with comparison and imposter syndrome. When I start feeling that way, I try and remember I don't need to be like anyone else, I just need to be me. No one can produce the same art or be the same as me, so I try to be the best version of myself and not worry about looking like anyone else. 💜 I wish I could afford to buy some of your art and will definitely try to soon!

I definitely understand how demoralizing a slow start can feel after so much build up in your mind. But I hope you know art and the act of creating art has intrinsic value - it’s so much more important and meaningful than sales. I love that even though you’re down you turn to your art and look, you made something beautiful! I love this painting and I see you improving with each new piece, week by week. Keep painting girl. The sales will come, the success too, but at the end of the day you’re an artist because you make art not because you sell it. ❤

14:01 I feel similarly about the weather. I love cloudy, gloomy, rainy weather! However, I don’t want to go outside. 🚫 Then this week, I noticed how happy I get when the sun comes out. That’s when I want to get out the house. I don’t quite get it. 🤔
I lived in Portland, OR last year. It was cold and rainy everyday, I never went outside, I was sad and didn’t paint at all. Weather def affects my mood too. I’m glad you power your way thru your paintings, it means you have passion. This one is really pretty, I love the clouds the most. 😊

I love your honest account of how things really are for artists. It’s not easy, especially when we compare ourselves to others. . Converting art, social media and making videos into sales is really hard and a slow process. It can be demoralising, but just remember the joy you bring into other’s lives. You are doing your bit to raise the happiness vibes on the planet. Keep going. 🙏💜

Hey there! I can totally relate with how you're feeling -- about the weather affecting your mood, etc. We have a lot in common actually, I'm also an engineer trying to sell paintings online. I only do watercolor, though. And also, it's been quite gloomy recently on this part of the planet where I live (South of France). I have the same struggles as you have. 8:35 Oh sweetie, this is a feeling I know all too well. I'm in the process of editing my first proper traditional art video. And this is a major concern for me. So I'm doing everything I can to keep myself out of frame. :)
Yes sometimes I just want to paint and not have to make myself presentable. I have to constantly remember not to get too much in front of the camera but I hope I can get more comfortable in the future! And also all the best for the editing process ☺️

Thank you! 🥰 since childhood I’ve always enjoyed being in nature. I used to have trouble speaking to big groups of people and found out that I thrive best in nature as it calms me and soothes my soul in a way no one can. So whenever I can’t travel to somewhere in nature I love to bring it with me through my paintings. As I paint, I lose myself in the landscape and it gives me the same feelings of being there in that place. In that moment I get to relax and be truly me so I always go back to painting landscapes most of the time to capture that feeling again and again.
Hey first of all you're doing great and I am proud of you. And I understand how it feels when we are excited about something but do not get the expected results. I'm not a good advisor about business stuff but I would say just hang in there and continue doing what you love. Being positive and having patience is the key here. Don't let unwanted thoughts get to you. Just think about how many people you inspire with your work including me! I know you'll business will do wonders one day. And this is for you - 🦭🦭🦭 ❤️

Normally, I don't do emojis, but hey! 🦭🦭🦭 I wish I could come up with words of wisdom for this business insecurity you're feeling while you getting things going, but getting people to buy stuff from me isn't really my forte. I'm sure your paying audience will come to you, perhaps a little at a time at first. Are you planning to offer prints of your paintings, because that's what I would more readily invest in for my home. Getting outside seemed to do wonders for your perspective for figuring out your foreground, and the painting turned out great!
