Focus all your energy on what you enjoy and your priorities, dont mind the algorithm, it keeps on changing anyway geared towards youtube earning more money through content creators talent and skill. but hey, its free to use youtube just dont get too technical on how it works.
I am not a RU-vidr but I can relate in different way. Unfortunately, I kind of realized how I felt in my 20's is different in my 30's. I use to overload myself with courses all the time. I would challenge myself to see how much I could do because it was like a badge of honor to be overworked but now it's kind of pathetic. Like "living for school" and having no down time unless I went to sleep. I had to leave in the Fall my anxiety was out of control because I took on to much. However, the only thing that changed was my anxiety stopped but I went into depression because it was like my brain telling me "You're unproductive and lazy!" Or if "I just take this an employer will notice me!" I know it's mostly a vicious cycle of my own making partly societies. I have been going to school off and on for 11 years and a half years so, I am able to share some knowledge on my classmates. I know I am capable of learning on my own but the reality is unless your going into the trades or want to be your own boss most employers do not care what you know just what your resume or degree says! Plus, I get some joy in being able to educate myself, improve my chances of employability, and helping others. It is more about balance of trying to feel productive and challenged while not being too overworked.
It’s a vicious cycle. You have to step away because the anxiety and work load is too much but then your mind tells you aren’t doing enough. I can totally relate and it’s exhausting 😭
Honestly, if you just did Homesteading and vlogs. It's not that I stopped liking tech because I watch ThatSnazyIphoneGuy and Austin Evans from time to time but not as much as I use too. I find since I am getting older I don't watch tech videos anymore. It is interesting but I think subconsciously it is my mind telling me "It's stuff you don't need!" Also, I buy less stuff I find but with the Homesteading vids/vlogs it is more like experiencing through someone else's eyes. It is more interesting to me. I find I watch more homesteading, out in the wilderness, and gardening videos.
100% agree on the content. I used to watch tech all the time but now a lot of it just doesn’t interest me and I would much rather watch someone explain how they grew tomatoes in a bucket or something 😂😂
@@TylerMiller I really like The Gardening Channel with James Prigioni, MI Gardener Channel with Mike, and I think the other guy was called Epic Garden or something. Crazy Quady he camps in the back of his truck, Nicholas Green Outdoors. I talked to him during a live stream. I told him some of the Natural Wildlife courses I have taken. One was Natural Resource Management Law. He asked me about it but it’s just for residents of Ontario only. It’s good to check online instead of just the college in your town for example, I am taking an Ornithology course online through Cornell. I can do it whenever I want. I don’t have time right now. I promised myself within the next two years no exceptions. I don’t want it turning into something where okay 5 years down the road and now I will do it. Last year doesn’t count. I wasn’t planning on having an anxiety attack. I am considering becoming an Environment Blogger. Their is a lot more I subbed to over the past year lol.
