Them bursting into Baby Shark and people being perplexed is what makes it funny imo.

@@gerardchampagne but it wasn't that funny LOL and all they did was ruin one of the big hits that a lot of people probably came out to see. If they wanted to do that they could have done that in between songs,

Taking my son to his 1st Blink show Friday in KC. We have floor seats, and I hope I don't regret spending what I spent to have premium seats to end up seeing their backs all night. The following Saturday in Mpls, we will be on the floor for Green Day. Our 2nd together. Easily one of the best live shows you can see. Funny thing - I saw over 200 concerts in the 80s-90s and tickets were $25 - $100 bucks. Merch cost more than the tix. And the MX brick weed was only $20/qtr. In '88 Monsters of Rock was only $50 to see Van Halen, the Scorpions, Dokken, Kingdom Come, AND Metallica (seen live 12x now). 9+ hours of live music. Today, Metallica alone will cost you a couple hundred for a decent seat. I know it makes me sound old - but the tee shirt is right - I got to see all the greatest bands!!! 🤙✌️❤️🤘🥃cheers!

Punk... the word you are looking for to describe this kind of music is punk. It emerged in the late 70s and into the 80s before morphing into "pop-punk" in the 90s and early 00s, w/ Blink 182 playing a major, seminal role in the formation and sound of said genre. Punk was the antithesis to post-Zeppelin hair & glam rock, as it was a counter cultural movement that ironically and yet also admiringly and reverently used the sonic aesthetics of early-days radio rock n roll, so it makes sense if you didn't like it if you were a big Guns N' Roses and Van Halen fan and what not. But the word is punk, and it's been around for a long time. Blink-182 is a latter day grandchild to punk.

@@prodemocracy2710 yeah it's total bulshit. I can understand the logic if you're playing a stadium of 60 or 70,000 people. But not in an arena of 18,000 people

I saw them exactly a year ago in Austin where they had a different stage only to one side. I lucked out and had an "obstructed view" ticket, but it turned out to be one of the best seats in the house like 20 yards from them. I just couldn't see the screens behind them to see the animation, but I didn't care and knew what I was paying for. This year I saw them in San Antonio. I was second to last row in section 222. It was pretty high. Being that high, we pretty much had to rely on the screens to get a good look at them because those lights you mentioned did block the view of the stage. I can see how it does kind of disconnect you. I get your point, but I thought the lights and lasers were badass IF you were lucky to have a good view.

They're playing a stadium here with what looks like the same stage, but they're not selling any seats behind them at all. What a weird set up. Thanks for the warning about the lights though, really makes it seem like you basically want to be on the floor to be able to see them.
@JoeInVegasReviews
@JoeInVegasReviews 2 месяца назад
@@firehawk128 yeah that stage is totally designed for people on the floor which is really strange considering the size of the venues they're playing on this tour. I was sitting upper level in front of stage, I really wished I would have sat upper level behind the stage.....those tix were cheaper and I would have been able to see much better because the guys walked all over the place, very disappointed they made the front stage seats look more attractive

I was there in the pit. It was definitely primo down there because where we stood, it was only 6 deep max. We were a bit sidestage (opposite side of arena from you) but it felt like Tom was playing to us 70% of the time and Mark came over a lot also. Since I saw them last year in L.A., I waited to buy tickets on this one. When they made the announcement about the “in the round” setup, they released more tickets and I was able to grab 2 pit tickets for $280ea out the door from AXS. The setlist was better last year because they only played 1 new songs instead of 6. I agree about their performance as it was top notch again. Funny that I commented how they really cut back on their silly potty humor from last year. Not sure if you noticed that the confetti was in the shape of sperm. Thanks again for the reviews.

I just saw them about a week ago in San Antonio and the stage rotated the same way for 3-4 songs to where you were looking at their back. I agree with you on that, people who bought a cheap ticket knew what they were (should’ve been) getting. They sound great live though

I don't agree with you about the need to connect with the band and seeing them face to face 100% of the time (it should be about the music you're hearing live in my opinion), but I get the element of wanting to see the band in person obviously, but it's expected at rock concerts that the members typically move around all the time anyway no? Also, they're not hiding behind the smoke, they have a huge visual element to their show which is pretty obvious, and everyone knows that lights (especially the lasers which they use) appear better in smoke. Im sure you know this so again I'm just confused as to why you instantly jump on the "they're hiding" narrative. The thing I absolutely agree with you on tho are those dumbass light grids that roll down for a few songs. They literally blocked everyone's view in the arena except those on the floor. What a dumb decision 😂
@JoeInVegasReviews
@JoeInVegasReviews 2 месяца назад
@@roastedbagel3938 I wouldn't call it a "narrative" lol I just said I don't know why it's so dark on stage for most of the show.. The entire encore was in the dark. Mix that with the smoke..
