A review please of the dyson hair wrap!

Stylist here, definitely think its super expensive for what it is. I think the "miracle" you're looking for will be found in prep products and not necessarily tools!

@@deborahbarnes8475 Sure! When controlling humidity (I'm in TN), I go for products that help coat the hair shaft to protect it from h2o penetration- think oil based creams or sprays like Park Ave from R&Co or Royal Blowout from Oribe- and blow dry them in making sure things are completely dry before going any further. You can also blow in an anti humidity spray, many of them are sold as finishing products but they help push out moisture and prevent humidity too. Then after curling/flat ironing with a heat protectant I'll set the hair with an anti humidity spray again and sometimes a hairspray on top of that to lock things in. Not completely fool-proof but absolutely helps prevent frizz/fall/humidity based issues. Another way to approach it is to work WITH the humidity and your natural hair texture, by encouraging what it wants to do naturally, combing in some wave cream or texture spray and scrunching while it air dries.

@@sierrapetersen3528 thank you so much! South Carolina girl here. The flat hair look gets old quick. Definitely going to try your advice. 🥰🥰🥰

I live in New York and love curling iron from T3. The curl last days and even when the curls loosen up a little, they still look great. They are retail for $335 originally and got whey on sale for $167 plus tax. I think it’s definitely worth the price I’m paying. The T3 also give you a 7 days free tryout for $0, so for those who wants try out, it’s great.

I totally understand the pain of losing your hair look. :( It’s an identity thing. I used to have massive and full hair, then something happened (it was either depression or an ovarian cyst that burst) and I lost - no joke - about 50% of my hair over the course of eight weeks. Less than 10% grew back over the last seven years. I was devastated for quite a while, but thankful I had tons to start with. I eventually got accustomed to my new hair and figured out new ways to wear it. I’m sure you’ll be able to do the same. :)

I really be happy see that video I took my T3 months ago and every time my hair burned even if I used the heat protection and always smell like a smoky. I never use before like that both expensive and harmful for hair.

I'm in Oklahoma now, but go home to Mississippi often. Maybe it is the humidity, but it's super dry here in OK most of the time and I still don't think the curls last long at all.... I regret getting rid of my old hot tools irons. Though my hair has never glided so smoothly through a heat tool before... Also, I totally get you on the coffee cup weight issue!

Honestly the best curling wand I’ve ever bought (or technically found and told everyone I wanted and then got it for Christmas) is a random one I found on Amazon. It’s a 5 barrel wand and it’s so sturdy, like getting ready tipsy and still can’t break it, I’ve had it 3 years now and still loving it. It’s nearly half one here so I will try and remember to find out the brand and leave it here. It was only £35-ish so it doesn’t break the bank so might be worth a try ?? Edit: Elehot, the brand is called Elehot

I can't speak for T3 curling irons, but I love their hair dryers.

You didn't use (or say you used) any pre-drying prep. You didn't use ANY heat protectant/holding spray expect for a bit of hairspray I live in South Florida (even more humid than Texas) and I am a woman of color. I use my T3 and it holds up just fine unless I sweat it out by being outdoors exercising. Try it again with the above steps and hopefully it will work better for you. There's nothing worse than wasting money on hair tools.

You need products more than tools if you are looking for hold in humidity. Living in Florida that is key

“Texas humidity will always win...” Girl yes! Living in South TX has taught me to use ZERO hair products on my hair. I use Suave shampoo and conditioner and that’s it. Yep.

Lived half my life in FL and the other half in Bama...so humidity is a way of life for me. Humidity will make natural curls curlier/frizzier, and it can make heat styled curls fall flat and undo. This is because humidity is basically water droplets in the air. So humidity = water. If a curly hair gal straightens her hair, she tries not to get it wet because water is going to make her curls come back. The same goes for straight hair that has been curled. Water is always going to "reset" our hair back to it's natural state. When the humidity is high, then it doesnt take long for the moisture in the air to sit on the hair (or cause us to sweat, introducing more moisture to the hair) without proper products to block the humidity (aka put a Rain-X type of barrier around the strands). After 40 years of straight hair in humid climates, I've found the best way to make your curls last longer in high humidity is to apply a humidity blocker like ColorWow Dream Coat & a lightweight foam with style memory (ColorWow Xtra Large) to damp hair before blowdrying. The heat is what locks on the humidity blocker. Then do heatless curls (robe sash curls work best for me) on dry hair. Mist lightly with water when finished, and go to bed. The next morning I have curls that last all day! Day 2 is loose waves, and day 3 its almost gone, but still looks polished and styled with a little brushing, shine spray, and oil on the ends...it gives the Hailey Bieber-esque (my hair is longer though) slight "bend" waves most people create with a flat-iron. Good luck!!❤

Great honest video! I’m with you on the curling iron vs. wand. I need the bar to see the ends curled properly. Keep up the great videos. You have a great personality for videos.

Curls would never stay for me either until I tried curling my hair with a straightener! You can have tbem do it at a salon to test it out first.

If it's Texas humidity then why say the curling iron isn't worth it.
