We don't get paid to snowmobile. We ride sleds because they are fun! The dealer got the new sleds in today March 5th, 2021 so Grant and I went to have a look.

Good honest review 👍. Im eager for you to ride one so we can hear an honest comparison on feel compared to the Axys. They've been able to keep the same RMK feel throughout different chassis, if this is the same I'm sold.

Thanks for the excellent views of the Centralized cooling system: Underseat coolers and front bulkhead coolers. * The Primary clutch is a P22. It has a bearing over the center shaft, between the two sheaves, and when going to neutral/idle, the belt rests on the bearing and is tight, while the primary keeps on spinning. You will never have to adjust belt tension again. There is NO belt tension limiter set screw & lock nut on the secondary. This primary is about 1 pound lighter than the P85 it replaces. *The large turbocharger is packaged very nicely on the BOOST models. There are two chambers in the muffler, the forward chamber receives exhaust directly from the pipe on the wastegate mounted on the middle of the expansion chamber. Rear chamber has a diffuser on the top and the turbocharger exhaust turbine directly mounted on it. The outlet of the expansion chamber goes directly into the exhaust turbine of the turbocharger. Very clean, short plumbing for this system. It adds a little over 20 pounds to the sled. The center housing for the turbocharger shaft, is aluminum, liquid cooled, and oil lubricated. *The Hayes Stealth brake master cylinder has been used on the MY21 flatland Matryx and also by some Arctic Cat sleds. There are Heavy Duty covers available for the plastic Master cylinder reservoir. Also heated brake levers. *By Wednesday March 3, 2021 almost every Polaris dealer had sold their entire allocation of Boost snowmobiles. Polaris said it would be a limited build, and they meant it. *All the MY22 Polaris Mountain sleds, have either QuickDrive or QuickDrive2 belt drive track system. Except for RMK EVO and 600 RMK 144, which still have a chaincase. *You may have noticed when they were going over the Boost turbocharger system and the Matryx Mountain Centralized Cooling System and the QuickDrive belt drive track,... nobody was saying "just Like the Doo"
@Mogachaffe
@Mogachaffe 3 года назад
Why does the secondary still have a belt deflection tool then?
@davidrowley8251
@davidrowley8251 3 года назад
@@Mogachaffe There is still a belt removal L tool, normally used to hold the fender to the bellypan, because you will still need to release the belt tension and open the secondary, when the belt is removed for maintenance or inspection. To tell when to replace the drive belt, I will remove it and place it back to back with a new belt. If it is much narrower, or scalloped, I will replace it.

@eviltweetsoffroad
@eviltweetsoffroad 3 года назад
@@jromem7313 I'm coming of a 17 assault. Put the 2 inch track and offset spindles this year as well as grippers skis and it still took a fair amount of effort to put on its side. My wife is getting into snowmobiling so I'm going to keep it for her and when I do trail riding trips. I'm going to order a Pro-RMK Slash 155. Was thinking about the khaos but I bet with the cut tunnel that RMK will be more playful than the Axys and I want it for side hilling. I figure I can also use it to trail ride with the wife since she rides slower. I don't think the lugs will hold up past 50 or 60 but if I'm going for a slower trail riding day with the wife it should be fine. Im from Minnesota but am planning on 2 or 3 mountain trips next season and probably pop up to the UP as well. If you do I decent amount of boondocking I'd think go with the Khaos 146. The taller and narrower front end will make it more playful. The question is do you go with the 2 or 2.6 inch track. If only they had a 2.25.

One thing I noticed at Haydays this past weekend, the new Polaris body panels seem very very cheaply made. its disappointing, being a Polaris guy, that my 2014 switchback feels more sturdy than the new matryx. I'll bet one roll over or tree branch hit and you'll be replacing panels. With how flimsy the new Polaris sleds feel, id be willing to switch to Ski-Doo for a new snowcheck. No were near the Polaris technology, but their sleds feel well built for the money at least.
