When Karl cooks for the king, has got to be one of the funniest sequences on tv ever recorded, when he gets frustrated for only having one box of custard absolutely kills me, I love that ur American like me but still get Karl and understand why he’s so funny. I cringe when other Americans watch him and say stuff like “I don’t know why people think this is funny” or “why make a show of a guy complaining” 👍 and shared already while watching
OTDA I’m sure that’s exactly what Karl would say about this program if he were at home, watching another bloke doing this😅 Karl has some very ‘American’ sensibilities..
girlsdrinkfeck I don’t think he’s dumb but his mind sees things very black and white. “Why you riding a horse, just get a car!” Obviously life isn’t that simple but it’s also true a car is just much better.
Thanks bud I really love that part he was so frustrated and no one even explain any of their customs to him . When they said where is the meat .that look lol
Love these reactions, im from Norway and i love British humor, and i love Karl 😁, thx for pumping out these Josh, its like seeing them all for the first time.
Karl and Ricky still get along from what I've seen, they just seem to have drifted apart. Ricky still tells stories about Karl and they never chat shit about each other, it just seems like Ricky went off to create more shows and Karl's kind of sunk back into his own life. They've made shows, radio and podcasts together, I'm sure they still keep in touch, they both just have other stuff to do. Edit: Spellcheck sucks.
"7000? How much was that in pounds?" "one pound sixty, mate" "one pound sixty for a pair of pants? That's really good. What else have they got?" *spends, presumably, the next few hours going shopping* Brilliant. I would've done the same.
You're absolutely right and I love your perspective on the empowerment side when it comes to charity. I read a report that sadly the clothing donations to Nairobi specifically have destroyed their textile industry because people won't pay for a beautiful locally made garment when they can buy whatever shit we ship over there for pennies. Kind of makes the whole thing feel hollow, knowing that yeah, you're able to clothe people in need for cheap, but those who had a blossoming business and a trade have been squeezed out to cater to our sense of morality and virtue.
Sadly not unique. I remember hearing a big project to "buy every village a goat" backfired when it was realised the goats were destroying the local enviroment. We probably all broadly agree on the end goal on all of this, but the means we use to get there do not always help. It's damn difficult to get it right. I'm not sure that anything short of finding alien life somewhere can make us realise we are one race, on the same side.
45:09 The three of them have said in interviews that they haven't fallen out, but that they don't see each other as much now because they are busy doing their own projects. When they asked Karl in an interview a couple of years ago, he said: "We ain’t fallen out but I hardly ever see either of them. One of the last times I saw Ricky he farted on my head so I’m not in a rush to meet with him anytime soon."
English fella here from London, love your reactions the best on youtube and ive seen alot. Me and my mrs watch your videos alot we’re addicted, your laugh is infectious love it :D please keep on the idiot abroad series and karl pilkington, whats not to love about that dude lol
When I first watched this, I was a bit of a Gervias/Merchant fanboy and basically agreed with everything they said. I joined in, laughing thinking "look at Karl, he's so stupid." Now, 9 years later, I agree much more with Karl, and Gervais and Merchant come across as a couple of arrogant armchair commentators.
Yeah im just pointing it out as most Americans (people in general) don't get to ever see SA in a good light. Like this they don't imagine we have big cities, 5 star hotels, uber etc. I want people to visit so I just wanted to let you know that this is the equivalent of going the homless tent areas in LA.
@@tornoutlaw not to far from the USA.. And to be fair the Scandinavian countries and Japan are leauges above any other nations in that sense its not fair to compare that to a 30 year old country
smarts yeah they did fall out, people say they just don’t work together but they did over money or something 100%. There is no way they’re mates but are never seen together, never mention each other in interviews or get asked about each other.
@@cmb741 they didn't fall out. They're just adults with multiple friends and if Ricky was expected to talk about everyone he has worked with then he'd have no time to breathe. They're almost certainly still friends and Ricky spoke about Karl recently in a livestream
Kyle Lee where can i find this? i can believe karl and ricky and friends more than ricky and steve . but ricky was asked who the funniest person he met was and didn’t say karl and they never ever get questions about each other in interviews so they’re obviously told not to mention it
@@diplamatikjuan3595 All of us stood around in robes, with shaved heads, slowly chanting "I ...could... eat... a... knob... at... night" in deference to the mighty Manc One.
Love the videos Josh! Great to see you’ve got a patreon so you can hopefully get paid good money for all the hard work you put in, it doesn’t go unnoticed! Can’t wait for the exclusive content😁
Hey Josh! Thank you so much again for being the highlight of my day! Ive not laughed so much in a long long time! There’s something so hilarious about the addition of your laughing! 😂 Keep them coming! After Idiot PLEASE do The Moaning of Life! Karl being unfiltered Karl for two glorious seasons! Also, the guy who does comedy relating to confronting scammers is Joe Lycett. Also James Veitch! Both are fantastic! Joe Lycett’s two stand-ups are also must watches, as is Russell Howard and Jon Richardson. Thanks again! Tell Taylor her hair is AWESOME and was so nice seeing her on your recent RG show upload. Stay safe guys.xx
Literally been waiting all night for this hoping you'd upload the next episode... not long about to go bed & here we are again. I'm prepared for alot of laughs, killing it on the channel at the moment buddy. Your subs are rocketing at the moment, keep hustling my man ✊🏼⚡
Completely agree with Josh’s views on charity and how it’s necessary but needs to be accompanied by larger scale help to better communities and help people help themselves. Look forward to watching these each night
Every now and then, Ricky makes Karl laugh.. a real genuine laugh.. it is a treasure to behold 😄😆 .......I'm with Karl on the extreme sports... Being strapped to a frame on the wings of a plane would be great for me, and is not even half as scary as attching an elastic to my feet and jumping from a great height.. I am definitely a flyer, not a faller 😂
Omg, that would be on my bucket list without a doubt. Gorillas are my favorite animals. I want my Dian Fossey experience. Such incredible animals. They look strong and chill at the same time. Koko the gorilla knew sign language and met many stars like Robin Williams, Mr Rogers and Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers). And she looooved kittens. She had her own pet kittens. One day Koko got angry and ripped the sink off the wall. When her care taker asked who did it, she signed the kittens did it. lol.
They havent stopped being friends, they just all went on to other things and time and distance can make it hard. I think this quote from Karl sums it up perfectly... “We ain’t fallen out but I hardly ever see either of them. One of the last times I saw Ricky he farted on my head so I’m not in a rush to meet with him anytime soon” 😂
I always felt sad at the very end of the last episode in each series.. brilliant stuff Josh.. I have re ally enjoyed watching all these with you.. your laugh is up there with rickys.. so good
Next up Route 66 episode. And a certain scene which made me laugh so hard I was actually concerned for myself and had to make myself start breathing again. Be safe, mate
Well Ricky mentioned Karl not to long ago in a live video he did so I don't think there was a massive falling out, I think they all just went and done their own thing. Stephen said not long ago he saw Karl recently and loves him which was nice to hear! 😊
I will be joining your patrion hopefully by end of the month Due to covid 19 unfortunately I was made redundant at beginning of may And as you can imagine money is not that great So as soon as I'm working full-time again il do it as the channel 2 me is worth much more then the price of the top tier if that makes sense Cheers for all your hard work mate Love to you both from London UK
I think Steve misunderstood Karl. Steve seemed to think he was saying that it's pointless but I think the message Karl was actually trying to convey was that he felt like his contribution in building the house wasn't enough. He saw how big the problem was and wished they could do more. He only mentioned his charity donations when Steve took it the wrong way and implied that Karl didn't want to help. Just look at his face when he's describing it to Steve, that's the look of a man who wants to help more but doesn't know how to.
Karl was on The Lorraine Kelly show a few days ago (the clip is on here) talking about if he would work again with Ricky or do another series of his own show, doesnt sound like the fell out just went different directions, which could be a good thing, you know leave on a high.
I agree with Karl. We all give so much to charity you would think we would be fixing some problems by now. The problem I see with charity is all the people in between the money given and the person needing the help. Most of charity go to the people working for the charity and not the people the charity are collecting for.
It's amazing the things you'll try when you're in a different environment and everyone around you is doing it. We went to SA a couple of years ago and ate live termites out of a mound. Tasted like pepper.
Karl's right. Even just the money you'd spend to get there, feed and house yourself, and get back home would outweigh your little contribution of labor. It's feel-good tourism. Unless you've got some special skill or training you can use there or pass on to the locals, you're better off giving money in the right places to get them the people and materials they actually need.
I picked the wrong time to take a big swig of fizzy pop ... 25:05 ... _"I'm meant to be cooking for a King, I've got my hands in a load of shit here."_ All over me it is! ... the pop I mean, not sh!t XD
I feel like Karl really doesn't get what he's done by helping to build that hut. He looks at the "600,000" left to go, and feels he's done nothing. While no one can make everyone's world better, he did make that family's world better. There's a quote from Spider Robinson that goes, "Shared pain is lessened; shared joy is increased." The happiness he gave that family will spread, not only to their friends and family, but also to all of us! I looked at their new home, imagined the pride they must take in it, and was made happy by the thought. I only wish Karl could share in the joy he created, but it really seems that he doesn't see it.
I rewatch josh watching these because I’ve seen them on my own so many times. It’s kind of like seeing them for the first time and not trying to show a friend that isn’t paying attention. He loves Karl as much as we do
Yeah Steve seems to think Karl was saying "okay so i put up a hut why is that a useful for me?" but he was saying "I've put a hut up sure that's great but I've not exactly solved their problems". Like you say it's hopelessness. And yeah i agree with what you said like you can help put a hut up where there was a hut before but if you just do that forever they still live in a hut.
i love this channel, i laugh until i cry at almost every single thing, but this one when karl's in africa and he gets nothing from the experience of volunteer work, thats made me cry tears of sadness 😥 ive spent time in africa doing volunteering and it was the most amazing thing i have ever done. being british and classed as living below the poverty line, i can hand on heart tell you that until you visit places like africa you have no idea what poverty really is! 97% of the population in the area i stayed were HIV positive, one of the tasks i did was helping in an orphanage, there was approx 100 babies (0 to 18 months old) the youngest was a 5 day old prem baby, most were there because their parents had died from aids. when the older kids arrived back from school theyd fuss over the little ones then within minutes set off trekking with water containers to the local well. so sorry this is turning into an essay 😞 my main point is throwing money at an issue often makes charities rich, being hands on genuinely matters and helps. sorry for the rant xxx
Great video! In terms of Ricky/karl not working together etc - Ricky said in an interview that they didnt fall out at all, its just a case of they are all doing their own thing (so like their own projects and stuff) so i guess thats good news that they didnt fall out! 👍
Time to sit in front of the tv watching this 😂 you should also check out rhod Gilbert. Either the toothbrush joke or the luggage joke. Both will have you crying 😂😂
Ricky, Stephen and Karl said they didn’t fall out they just don’t have as much time to see each other, Karl said a bit ago there’s no problem just don’t bump into them as much. Ricky and Stephen live in different places, Stephen in LA and Ricky in NY and London, they used to co-write together but work on different projects, I think it’s just they all busy!
I seen the them all 2 year ago they are the best for laughs but even though I've seen them still brings tears to my eyes and your reactions are to to funny bro keep on laughing it's good for you safe big man
