The lack of a plot is exactly why I love this game. I love that you can make the game into whatever u want. So far from a weak point, its actually a strong selling point for the game
I agree, I don't have this game yet but I am interested in the first place because of the absolute freedom to take the choices you want and not be lead along or confined by a limited story line. Honestly, being forced into a pre-determined story line turns me off from a game. This is the kind of game to tickle my creative mind
It’s funny, I’m the type of gamer that needs some linear thread of overarching progression to return to in a sandbox game. Shadows is RIGHT up my alley aesthetically and gameplay wise (immersive sims are my favorite genre). But I’ve stayed away so far because it’s just a sandbox. I hope at some point they’ll add a main story without disturbing the sandbox gameplay everyone seems to love. Even if it’s just in randomly generated note locations about the player character and/or world lore at certain progression points.
Looks fun, though getting unhelpful clue repeatedly has to extremely frustrating. Not sure if anything can even be done with that, except eliminating the chance to get two clues that ore opposite to each other.
Well said. Had such a fun/frustrating hunt of a dead end in this game where I was searching for a homeless person, finally found them, cuffed them only to get beaten by the entire homeless community, and it turned out it wasn't even the culprit. This took an hour. Couldn't help but laugh : ).
most immersive sim centered content creators are pretty fart sniffery, but Vlade is the exception. He has all the knowledge and tism needed for immersive sims while still just being a cool cat that likes games. I always get a game review and not some high art attempt to shed new light on the human condition. It's a hard tightrope to walk.
In a murder case, everything leads to a dead end in the case of a hired killer until I knocked the officer who was guarding the murder scene out by complete accident and found out he did it by the descriptions I gathered from the murder I was on and the one I failed before. My Discord chat went crazy.
if you want to succeed as a niche game reviewer you need to be more condescending, obnoxious and force feed us what you believe the game is about. dont forget to make it 4 hours long too hope you improve in these aspects
