This was more of a reminder to people of their mission statement and why they do what they do in the first place. Most people didn't even know about that interview and did not care. Everything said was already in dirtsheets months ago anyway. Was this speech needed? Probably not, but people seem to want to act like they don't understand that they can like any promotion they want without shitting on other ones. If someone was questioning the integrity of my company, I would want to defend and protect it, too. You're absolutely right about them staying focused on running the shows from here on out.
