Enjoy the sights and sounds of this magnificent 911T Targa from 1970. The interior/exterior color combination on this car is to die for. In person, you just can't stop looking at it. When stopping at the gas station on our way to film this video, the owners of a local BMW/Audi/Porsche specialist shop instantly came out and started complimenting the vehicle. The Albert Blue stands out against any other 911 I've seen.

Decades ago I had the very same car, a 1970 Porsche 911 2.2 litres C series with identical Fuchs alloy wheel rims and blue color, but it was a Karmann coupè model, not a targa. Anyway your one features the S trim with wider rubber guards that was not stock but optional on the T car, at least here in Europe. Later, overhauling my 911 2.2 T, I switched to 911 2.2 S high compression pistons and 911 2.2 S wilder camshafts, adapting the triple-choke Zenith 40 TIN carburetors to the new alimentation needs and using a very free-Flowing exaust silencer (which provided an outlaw roar to the car) and the power eventually went up by 60 horses; 185 actual horses on a 2200 lbs weight provided satisfactory acceleration, considering the small displacement, and also the peak power curve higher by 700 rpm, thanks to the new camshafts, added some more 15 mph to the actual top speed.

We're going to have a completely original 1972 porsche 911T targa in about 2 months. My dad says we shouldn't drive it fast because it'll hurt the enigine. Should I only drive it slow or is it okay to put my foot down once in a while. I've watched multiple video's in which many people drive their old Porsches fast. Thanks!
