I love how soulful his voice is, how he controls it. Reminds me of another R&B singer named Brandon Hines, just natural and beautiful. I hope guys like this pop because they deserve it

Beautiful man, so interesting to get to know. So honest and with good intention. I heard him say how he liked Lyfe Jenning's music before. Haven't actually taken much time to take a real good listen to August's actual music but him liking Lyfe and seeing this interview gives us a great idea of who he is. Liking Musiq too. Like you can tell he isn't the type of person who just opens up to everybody so easily. Like he's to himself but anyone who's able to get him to, hopefully only the ones with the most good intentions will use what he shares for their benefit. Seems like a nice person to know.
Seeing his growth in 2020 from here though he was very mature and interesting young man here also but has had so much more experience and pains that has grown him light years. God has his hand on him with a world goal of healing to fulfill. Bless him.

This interview really gave me a whole new perspective on August. I guess when it came to him I was kinda judging the book by it's cover and I'm happy to say I was wrong. I'm from New Orleans also and from the things he said we've had a lot of the same problems. Some of them are so similar it's scary, and it seems, for the most part, we have the same mindset. One thing he said that really hit home was in New Orleans you're kinda forced to become an adult really early, and that is definitely one of the truest things I've ever heard. Another thing that makes August so relatable for me is the fact that we're like a year apart in age. I have a whole new respect for August Alsina. ❤
