An introduction to the technology used within KAIROS repeaters, a brief taster of just some of the functionality available which includes Trunking Tier 3 trunking as well as Simulcast (Quasisync) and diversity receivers. Kairos is versatile hardware platform, a software defined radio (SDR) and shows the path for all future base station design. Kenwood are again moving the boundaries in mobile radio technology with increased range, firstly with NXDN technology and now with Diversity receivers in DMR Tier 3 trunking.
