A ramble to promote and support reading History of My Life, the autobiography of Giacomo Casanova. Although Casanova's reputation as a seducer is essentially true and fair, it is only a part of his life, and I think it has unfairly eclipsed the other qualities he has: he was a literary genius, a fearless adventurer, a gifted diplomat and a fascinating individual. This is my first video to try to argue that you should give his autobiography a go.
